From a distance, the shade looked like a regular human wearing a cloak. But up close, it looked like a demon. It had red devilish eyes and long jagged teeth, and it was sitting right in front of Methodios, getting ready to stab him with such ferocity it would leave plenty of deep wounds across his body. Methodios quickly brought his foot up and kicked the demon square in the face, sending it back a few feet and it was so startled from the hit, it fell over on its back.

Methodios quickly scrambled out of bed and desperately searched for his broadsword. He spotted it on the other side of the room, along with the shade demon. Now this creature was frustrated, it let out a ferocious roar and charged at Methodios at full speed. Methodios was relying on his quick reflexes at this point, and those reflexes has saved his life many times. In one swift move, he hit the floor and kicked the demon with his foot, tripping it and sending it to the ground. He then stood up and ran to his broadsword, but the demon was now up again and charging at him.

He grabbed his broadsword and spun around, swinging the sword at what he hoped was the demons head. But the demon parried the blow and swung his sword and Methodios. Now that he left a big opening to his chest, he was forced to drop to the floor, as the sword swung over his head, barely missing. The demon then brought the sword straight towards Methodios's chest, as if wanting to pin him, but not kill him. He rolled out of the way and the sword struck the spot where his head was. Methodios then used his foot to kick the demons hand away from his sword.

The demon let go of the sword and howled in pain as Methodios grabbed the shade demons sword. Methodios stood, ready to strike, but he was never good at using two swords at once. Then, the strangest thing happened, the demon smiled, he actually smiled and said, "you can't use two swords at once can you?"
This caught Methodios off guard, it was as if the demon read his mind! The demon used this chance to jump at Methodios and pin him to the floor.

Methodios struggled to get the demon off him, but it was much stronger than he was. It opened its mouth, showing its long, jagged, teeth and started coming down on Methodios's head. Then, out of nowhere, an arrow flew and struck the demon right in the center of the head, killing it instantly. Now dead, the demon fell to the floor, all signs of life drained from its body.
Methodios turned and saw Atreus in the doorway, with his bow drawn and a big smile of his face. "Need some help?" He asked.
