If life wasn't cheesy enough [haha, pun]
Cheesy's Cheesy Life #43 -Dream Story 4-
The horrors were only beginning...

She placed her fingertips upon Michelle's wrist after an hour of just sitting there. Alissa had been trying to accept the fact that her best friend was dead but it was too unbelievable for her. Twenty years or more of knowing this woman that lay dead before her. Their stupid quarrels, the tears... Her eyes began to water as she remembered a fight, it was considered a fight then, where all they did was yell the most immature insults back and forth.

"Well... you're a kindergard-e-ner!"
"Well.... umm... you're a pwe-schooler!"
"You're a baby!"
"Nuh-uh! You're the baby!"
"You're the baby, baby!"

She lifted Michelle's wrist, feeling around for a pulse she would never find. Alissa's body began to tremble, "Mich...." A couple tears reached the ground. "This can't.. it can't..." a small puddle began to form by the limp wrist Alissa had returned to the ground. "It can't be real! None of this can be real!" she screamed out into nothing, not expecting anyone to hear her.

Had I known... oh... had I know...

A creeking sound could be heard in the distance not too far away. She jerked her head back, jumping to her feet. Automaticly hiding her babies behind her as she stared into the monster's eyes. Their... beautiful... dark blue eyes. "..Hanz...?" she choked, taking a few steps closer to the monster. Alissa wiped at her tears that refused to stop flowing down her cheeks, down her neck, and into her shirt. The monster cowered, taking a few steps back.

She remembered what Hanz looked like, what was Hanz, when the monster had come out of those cabinets. Skin torn off, some of it still hanging on, blood dripping everywhere... She remembered that it looked as if his hips were sewn onto a higher part of his chest. He looked like something she only thought she'd every see in some crappy horror game or movie. Maybe an anime but never before her very eyes.

The monster crept into the darkness, keeping its eyes low to avoid eye contact. She took more steps forward, taking quicker and longer strides. She was determined to finally speak with the monster she called Hanz. The monster Jorden created that actually showed interest in her.

The eyes were filled with sadness.... how long did they watch me?

Alissa held out her hand to the being, kneeling down infront of it. "Please... speak with me.. I beg of you..." she pleaded, the tears forming little rivers down soft hill-like cheeks. "Say.. something...."

The monster refused to come out of the shadows but it did lift its head, now looking directly into Alissa's eyes. Its mouth opened, revealing its tongue. Usually it would be teeth, for a normal person, but its teeth were more like its lips. Mutters escaped its mouth but nothing loud enough for Alissa to hear or comprehend. "Please.. speak louder.. I couldn't hear you..."

The monster gagged a little, clearing out its throat. "A...an...angel...." come a louder whisper. She felt as if her heart just stopped once she heard that word. Angel repeating over and over again in her head. One of the babies began to cry.

She panicked, putting the babies infront of her now. It was Trei, as usual, she picked him up and cradled him in her arms. "Ssshh shh... It's okay, honey... It's okay..." she kissed his forehead then looked over at Hanz. "He looks just like you.. Doesn't he?" Alissa smiled through her tears, holding Trei close to her. "David agreed too...."

He was trying to save me... though he was too late too be saved.. he was trying to save me...

"Ho... ho..." said the monster that was Hanz, looking down at the ground. Alissa eyed him oddly, "Ho...ho..?" She thought about it for a minute then remembered he had no lips. "Wait.. what about him?" Alissa grew eager, trying to find some sanity in it all. Maybe some reason.

Hanz didn't respond.

"Hanz.. please... He's been missing for.. who knows how long... Do you know where he is?" Alissa asked calmly, trying to find out the answers. She needed to find David or someone to keep her sanity and she was worried about him. Hanz nodded and stood up on all fours. He jerked his head a bit as if to tell Alissa to follow before walking away from her. She put Trei back in his holder and put him onto her back with his sister.

They reached a room not too far from the small room that she had found Michelle in. The room was large, probably over thirty foot ceiling. She couldn't imagine how it would be possible in the type of complex they were in but Alissa learned to not question it anymore. Towards the back of the middle of the room was what looked like a dark pit. She couldn't tell from where she was but she would soon find out, it's where Hanz ran off to.

Alissa walked over to the dark well and couldn't believe her eyes.

I was days too late... It was my fault...
