Here's a poem I did when I was 17...think i had some issues to say da least lol
Last Breath
As I sit here,
Drawing last breath,
Looking at blood,
I think and cry.
I cry for myself,
For my family and friends.
I cry for the people
I don't even know.
Will never know.
I cry for the sights
I have seen.
One's I won't
Have the chance to.
I cry for the sound
Of the rain as
It beats, beats, beats
Drip, drop, drip
On my heart.
And I cry for mistakes
I've made.
People I've hurt.
Including myself.
As I sit here,
Drawing last breath,
I see how wrong
Everything is.
I see time
Stand still.
The crimson drop,
Sun reflected on,
Splashes
And I see it.
I see the wound,
Self-inflicted,
Fresh and filled
With deep red blood.
I see the blade,
Drying blood
Crusting on
The shiny metal.
I see my hands,
Shaking because of
What I've done
To myself.
As I sit here,
Drawing last breath,
I pray for my soul.
For forgiveness.
For someone
To understand
Why I did,
What I did
With that blade.
Drip goes the
Ruby rain,
Falling from the
Flesh cloud
It called home.
Until a door
Was opened.
As I sit and
Cry and pray,
The darkness comes.
There is no light.
No heavenly voices.
Only sirens sound
As I expel
My last breath.
