Once apon a time there was a poor girl.
She was depressed because all of her friends kept calling her emo.
And she could never find good stuff because she was living on the streets and out of luck.
But one day she found a really nice, though kind of ragged, scarf.
And she drapped it over her and lay in a pile of leaves and slept there.
When she woke up, though, nothing around her looked the same.
And all the colors of the terrain were messed up.
She clutched the scarf around her and surveyed the land when she heard a voice.
It laughed mysteriously and welcomed her.
"Come dance wit us and learn all our secrets Demeter," the whisper beckoned.
She was hesitant and afraid because of all the stories she had heard from others, but she yelled, "Who are you?"
"We are the ones, the Fae children, come dance with us!"
She stood up fearfully and looked into the pitch black eyes of a fae, the invitation was alluring, but she had never trusted anyone, and this creature was no different.
And she didn't trust her self either and no one knew why.
Before she could reach a decision, a tiny, surprisingly strong, hand pulled at her arm.
She yelled in surprise as the fae pulled her along toward a ring of what looked like gravestones in the distance, the scarf trailing behind her and finnaly falling to the ground.
Suddenly the fae stopped n looked at Demeter, it's eyes slowly turnin from black to blood-red.
She screamed and managed to somehow wrestle her hand from the fae's grasp.
She ran as fast as could, cryin as she heard the fae's footsteps behind her, only pausing to pick up the scarf.
She looked around fearfully and ran into a nearby forest, hoping to lose the fae between the dark trunks therein.
That's when she heard the creaking and noticed that the trees seem to be moving, ever so slowly, closer to her.
She fought back the urge to scream, "just my luck" she thought "but where can i go? certainly not back to that fae, and i cannot stay here... and where the heck is here anyway?!"
The girl kept walking and found a small abandoned village that was tinted with blood.
She carefully picked her way through the streets, the blood makin a sickly noise every time she lifted her feet, listening for a sign of anyone or anything.
Then she saw something, a young girl, crying over the body of her dead mother.
"Why mother? Why?" the little girl yelled in tears making her mother get wet with them.
Demeter walked carefully up to the child, which she noticed was her own age "what happened?" she asked.
The girl looked up with her eyes wide, gasping before hugging her knees and muttering, "Here come the hallucinations again.... You're not real, you're not real..."
Demeter sat next to the strange girl looking puzzled.
"I'm quite sure i AM real, though I'm not as sure that you are... but even it I am a hallucination you can at least confide in me" Demeter reasoned, all the while looking around for any sign of more danger.
The girl runs off with a twisted smile pleading Demeter to follow.
Demeter was suddenly unsure of herself, she'd not bet a single good creature in this twisted place... she shook the thought from her head and began to follow.
The girl ran though the empty, bloody town; all the while randomly glancin back to make sure Demeter was following.
Demeter shuddered, she didn't like the way the girl kept looking at her... like a peice of ripe fruit or something...
The feeling that the girl got over her dead mother too quickly left a nasty taste in the back of Demeter's mouth, but she continued to follow.
Demeter finally ran out of breath (How large was this town anyways?); it had seemed small, but now there didn't seem to be an end, and it was totally drenched in blood. She looked over her shoulder for the way she came, but it looked exactly the same as the way forward.
When Demeter turned back around, she found that she had lost sight of the girl and was alone in the creepy town.
