Hmm...seems like it's been quite some time since I've posted anything in here. I graduated last Friday, May 18, 2007. Now I shall no longer have to deal with that incesent(sp?) school known as Dresden High School. Life goes on much like it always does in a rural community, monotonous and boring. Jobs disappear and cost of living rises. This country has been quite frankly going to the dogs here the past few years...ever since that complete and utter imbecile known as George W. Bush has come into the presidential office. Hopefully a Democratic candidate wins it this time. At least they have control of Congress, but it just isn't enough because that fool can just veto anything that the Democrats of Congress want. He recently vetoed a bill to cut down troops in Iraq...why? We are making no progress. We launch hundred million dollar missles and all we are accomplishing is moving rubble. American soldiers are being picked off like fish in a barrel, and yet he claims we're making progress. In what area? I would really like to know. Where exactly are we making progress. We've been looking for Osama Bin Laden for some years now and we still haven't found him. He's dead in my opinion. The videos that are sent in are fake, again, in my opinion. Apparently the government has forgotten the people and are only out to make their own lives better no matter what happens to the people that suffer because of it. 	It is always difficult to know that our people are stranded far away from us because of the choices of others. It seems to make it easier, at times, to find a single person to blame. However is it truly fair of the American people, who voted him into office, to blame President Bush? In his shoes what choice would we have made? He had to do something or else there was a high chance he would not get reelected. Politically he made the choice that kept him his job. If there is any one to blame in this it is the Americans who have changed their government from a law guider to a baby sitter. It is us who have demanded that instead of doing what's right for the country our government is supposed to keep us happy. 	I never said it was entirely the fault of that utter imbecile, but some of it is. The American people, as a whole, are stupid. The individual perosn is smart, but people as a whole are stupid. They are biased and too inclined to go with the flow and conform. In his situation, I would pull out of Iraq. We are making NO, and I repeat, NO progress there. The only thing we are accomplishing is death, mostly of our own men. We waste the citizen's tax payers on bombs and missles that accomplish nothing. We sink deeper into repression and yet we still stick our nose into other's business. We desperately need to worry about our own problems before worrying about others. 	I agree, humanity as a whole is stupid. This is a proven fact. I also agree that we need to focus on what is happening around us; in other words get our own lives straight before trying to straighten some one else's life out. I also agree that it is not only President Bush's fault. The point I was trying to make was merely that the crap that goes on around us is because we refuse to step up and do something about it. As for doing nothing over there I beg to differ. Although we probably shouldn't have gone into that situation in the first place we are now there and for us to pull out before we have rectified the damage we have caused would be dishonorable. The very least, in my opinion, that we can do is to fix what we broke. Yes, I wish it would go faster. Yes, I wish that the violence would stop. Do I believe the reason we went in there was honorable... no. However, even though President Bush must take some of the blame for his own choices, I know that it is the fault of the American public that America finds herself struggling to pull out of yet another difficult situation. 	I agree. We do need to fix what's broke, but only what we broke. More damage is caused by the suicidal bombers killing themselves and 10 American soldiers with them than by our troops. We have accomplished what we set out to do in there in the first place. We caught and executed Saddam Hussein. Now we fix what WE did break and we leave. We're currently helping them to train their own police force if I'm not mistaken. This I could agree with if people weren't dieing every day from the suicide bombings. We've been training them for approx. a year...give or take a few months. I could be mistaken on this, but if I remember correctly, that's correct. Just how long does it take to train a police force? Shouldn't they be training them in a place where it's safe instead of where it's possible that you could be sitting there chit chatting one minute and the next your brains are scattered across the sidewalk? 	Perhaps I can help a bit with this. To train the average border patrol agent it can take up to 1 and a half or 2 years. To train the average fighter pilot it takes 2 to 3 years. A police man I'm not sure how long it takes to train. A soldier can take up to a year to learn, never mind any special training. This would be why it is taking so long. Unfortuntly we can't program them like in the matrix (awesome movie by the way). All we can do is train as fast as possible and pray that the rest of that insane country comes to their senses enough to stop killing the people there to protect them. 	Ok...I can see that now. But why should we have to fix what their people broke in their hugs of explodey death...they've got kids...KIDS NO OLDER THAN 12...strappin themselves with dynamite, and then being told to go to the biggest group of soldiers they can find and give one of them a nice big hug. How ****** up do you have to be to do stuff like that? Clean these **** out and be done with the situation. The generals try to run the operation from America and fail miserably. What happened to field generals. That system worked soooo much better. The general could study the field and then say "I need this, this, and this done." And leave the underlings to carry out how THEY saw fit...There have been orders, I don't know if they're still in effect, but NOT TO FIRE BACK EVEN IF YOU ARE UNDER FIRE...you know what I say to that? [**** THAT. If I'm getting shot at, there is no, and I mean NO, way I will not shoot back. No human on this earth and no higher power in another can make me not defend myself. 	Much agreed! We do need to change our tactics. Having generals in America commanding troops in the middle east is probably one of the stupidest ideas we've come up with yet. As for the suicide bombers.... I don't know. I have no freaking idea why they do that. It shows a level of devotion to a religion that I do not understand.
