Disconnected. In the barren wasted lands, her head lay in the sands,sleeping, eyeless,distraught. Memory was lacking for her. As far as she remembered she had never been this disconnected . her body lay somewhere else scattered. Only time knew how long it would take before the pieces would come together. But slowly surely they did starting with the smallest of digits, the fingers found their way to the hand. Connecting themselves as they remembered their configuration, the hand sprung up on to its middle and ring fingers and started to crawl across the barren sands.
As time continued the hand found many other body parts and slowly integrated with them until most of the body up to the neck was connected in all the right places and started its journey to find its masters head.
A sudden stir. The head opened its eyelids only to reveal what was now dark sockets. Peculiar.. she thought., disregarding the fact that she infact had no eyes she could see the barren waste land that she was slowly being buried into. Into the distance she could see a figure walking nearer and nearer, until finally it was in view.Nude. The headless body stopped looked down and if it,as if it had a head, tilted the stub that was its neck. It then proceeded to scour the grounds around the head. She watched as the body blindly grasped at the sands as if looking for something. She then realized what it was looking for. Her. Her eyelids opened wider and she opened her mouth and proceeded to scream ”HEY!”. But no audible sound came out that she could hear.”OVER HERE!” As if the figure did hear. It moved closer to her. Grabbing at her head gently and placing it on the neck it then integrated and connected leaving no evidence that would suggest that it was two separate pieces. And for once she felt almost whole. But she knew something was missing, besides her eyes. She felt empty inside. Like something vital and important was missing. What was it? She thought. Most of physical body, of what she could supposively “see”, had found its way back apart from her eyeballs. Closing her eyelids she placed two fingers to the side of her neck and focused. And with that realization she knew.
Panicing she felt her own chest. There was no beat. She wanted to feel that beat that with every fiber of here being. But there was something she did’t understand. Why was she still moving still thinking. She then curled her knees into a ball. . there she sat. on the barren waste. In the harsh wisping sands. Alone. The sun hanging high above her head. A swarm of 5 black birds,crows, flew over head and landed in a near by tree about 10 feet away. the middle one crowed and flew over to the girl and perched itself on the sandy grounds in front of her. She looked at it. “im guessing you’re here to mock me aren’t you?FINE SAY IT! “NEVERMORE!” I know my edgar allen poe!” the girl said cynically “ and your friends over there can eat my brains and all! I don’t have much meat o my bones but none the less I am the tale of the tell tale heart” she flops her head on her knees.
” Well aren’t we cynical?”said a voice ” and must I say you have a lovely pair of eyes.” She looks up the crow seemed to have vanished in its place a pair of legs wearing black pants. Her sockets continue to trail upward, and she comes to face with a male figure clothed in mainly black clothing . some of his bracelets and his necklaces were adorned with black feathers. He fingered two white orbs, He then examined one of the as if it were a diamond or a crystal. “such interesting eyes” he exclaimed “im surprised that they couldn’t foretell your future up to this point ,oracle?“ he smirked.”or was it because you are blind”
“Hey that’s mine!” She goes to grab at it.”and I am not blind!” Holding it high over his head he watches her effort to grab at the tiny orb.
“ oh? for someone with no eyes and heart you seem to be moving around quite a lot ?” and with that he snaps his finger and in that instant she stops her body falls limp.
