Ms. Megan, my answer to your comment got a little delayed, but here it finally is.
Well, Mr. Hampus. Your theories would certainly make us all gods.
Indeed, at least it would make us gods in a small degree. When maybe everything we see, do, percept and believe is a creation of our own mind, we could - if we knew exactly how to - be able to create a world on our own, that only exists for ourselves, but it would be as if everyone in it were... themselves. Somehow, I do think that our full potential will be unlocked when we die. As we live, we only make us of a small fraction of our brains, and as we are freed from the prison of living, we will expand our consciousness into something much more great; maybe even join with God. I'm not saying this is true, I just love to think in different ways.
And if we are, then we all should be extremely egotistical. Which I actually do believe because without that selfish self love, people have no real potential at all. They merely follow the ones who do have their narcissism going on.
Yes, that does sound correct. Everyone are actually deep inside very egoistical and self-centered in every way. I discovered that during the days I saw myself as a Satanist, and Satanists are very selfish people who put themselves first. If we see it like this: You feel so bad when you see people suffer, and you want nothing else but to help them. As you do help them, you feel better yourself. So, that compassion you felt for them made you feel bad for them, and thus you needed to help them feel better to make yourself feel better. True? And if we don't have that selfish self love, we wouldn't be able to do much at all, as we wouldn't have any real potential, just as you said. Instead then, we would follow someone who knows how to have their narcissism going on. I hope I understood what you said correctly..
As far as paranormal, seeing as you said people create these things, then it's only going to be true for the people who create them, and the small about of people near them whom they can interact with.
That was somehow what I meant, too. And still, not what I meant. It's a tough subject as it needs to be seen in many different views, and none of them are true at the same time as they all are. As I did say that people created these things, then it actually is true what you said. It is only true for those who believed in it and to those in their vicinity. It was a common belief in Sweden some hundred years ago, and for many it was really true. There are still people today who believe in that kind of things; my 4th grade teacher (Malin) strongly believed she had a vätte in her stable, as her horse's mane had been braided every morning. She said that only very tiny hands could've braided the hair in such a way. As she strongly believed in it, even her horse was affected by it. Either they are actually small creatures invisible to the human eye that needs someone to believe in them to be able to exist (Sounds like fairies), or they are just something created out of the person's mind. If the later is correct, then my theory of the power of our mind when it comes to create things is being strengthened.
Somehow, reading about it in a book doesn't do much to make it real sometimes.
True. It could be because we are programmed not to believe in those kinds of things anymore, as our whole world is changing more and more. First, we were very spiritual and almost everyone believed in God; then we became more and more forced to believe in science, and now we are actually going back into being even more spiritual than in a long time. Everywhere different cults are showing up, almost every day. The programming in not believing in these kinds of things are changing as well, which might be because we need spirituality, or because some changes are needed for us to survive. Or something.
I do know I've had experiences with friends, and being in the same room as them, I could hear and see things they could, things their minds must have created.
<3 Yes, that is interesting. Depending on the person, the same thing happens to me. I know that, in a different way than what you just said, whatever you are describing to me appears in my mind as if I was watching a movie. It is only from you that I can experience that. And it is really interesting.
This is a very deep topic.
It really is. heart

The world. Our universe, the Earth, our minds. Now, that is the world, right? One could say that the whole universe is THE world, because that is where all exists and takes place. Every action we do takes place in the universe. Or one could say that THE world is Earth, as it is here we all live, love, hate and die. The only things from outside of this world that we come in contact with in some way is the Sun, the moon, some faraway stars during the night and sometimes some occasional comet that comes by every 70 years or so. So far I am quite correct, right?
Now, what if everything is much deeper than that? What... if... THE world is in our minds? The generally accepted laws of physics say that even time is experienced different by everyone. While this writer is thning of how to put the words together and create an understandable text for others to read, isn't then my perception of time slower or faster than by those around me? Outside right now, people are building on my tiny little house of 15 square meters. I am sure that their time is flowing faster than mine, because their minds are constantly focused on what nail to hit next and what to do after that is done. For me, I let my own mind float away into the depth of my personal knowledge. I am surrounded by sounds of saws and hammers, but I don't take notice of them. Right now I am searching for what to say and what to type down and what to ignore. I guess I went a little too off topic now. But the thing is, when even time itself - the most unstoppable force in the universe that eventually ends everything, but will forever live on in the darkest of nothing as It have put an end to even the stars that gives light to a world - is different for every person, than what more is different?
Every person is different, but sometimes you have the wonderful luck of finding a mental twin. I am one of the few who have had that kind of amazing luck, and I love it. It gives me reason to live most of my time. Alright, I think I need to put the things together more before I keep going. What I meant to say is, that almost every person in this world is different from each other. The mind of every person is a world by its own. Or is it that way? What if this very world is created by all of our minds? Now we go from physics into the less accepted world of folklore and the paranormal.
Faith is a strong thing. I could compare it to a kind of love. Around one hundred years ago here in Sweden, the common belief was that we had vättar (Almost like goblins) that lived inside our houses and stuff. That had been seen as true for as long as humans have existed in this part of the world. These vättar were supernatural beings that were said to look like a person, but with grey clothes and a red hat. They took care of your household if you treated them nice and gave them food. If you didn't give them food, they could in worst cases set fire to your house, which isn't so nice. Hm. But hey, how come so many believed in stuff like that? Superstition? Just... imagination? Or were they real? Similar things exists all around the world, stories of small beings - almost being supernatural in some way - living and acting around us, being invisible mostly. Goblins, trolls, will-o-whisps, ghosts; all kinds of supernatural things, being so close to us. It was, as I said, common belief back then. What happened to them? Are they still around, or did they for some reason disappear?
Well. Our minds. Our Collected minds, that we all share. Are we together creating the world around us? Does that mean that anything is possible? Could we learn how to make use of our minds and create again?

Last year, before I had even turned seventeen, I made a promise. It was on April 11, the year of 2007. That is the one promise that I have kept for over a year, and I am proud of it.
How come love is so strong? Most people today say that it is a survival instinct, a need to stay with someone to mate with, because we are all animals. Well, that might be true in some ways all over the animal kingdom. Many species of birds have couples that stick together for the rest of their lives. It even happens that when one of the mates die, the other die of sorrow, because it just stops eating. That could make us animals as well. But why is that feeling if love so strong? If it was to keep our specie alive, then wouldn't it be better if we just had the awful sexual lust intead of the deep loving feeling that bonds us together?
Either we are just animals with a more advanced version of the sex-drive, or we are truly special with the ability to love someone more than life itself, to attach yourself to someone's soul and become one. Doesn't the bible speak of marriage as a way of becomming one? Where did all of that go? Where did the Love go? Is it even left? I honestly do believe that it is, and I am sure that I have found the love. Even at the young age of 18, I am more sure of that than of anything ever in my life. When one can think of the person, not being in love at all, and still say: "She is the one", then it must be true. When you have gone past fleshly desire and ventured into the deep world of the unknown love, then... you are there.
I should've been more detailed, but I'll let the reader do the thinking for yourself.
