Last year, before I had even turned seventeen, I made a promise.
It was on April 11, the year of 2007.
That is the one promise that I have kept for over a year, and I am proud of it.

How come love is so strong? Most people today say that it is a survival instinct, a need to stay with someone to mate with, because we are all animals. Well, that might be true in some ways all over the animal kingdom. Many species of birds have couples that stick together for the rest of their lives. It even happens that when one of the mates die, the other die of sorrow, because it just stops eating.
That could make us animals as well. But why is that feeling if love so strong?
If it was to keep our specie alive, then wouldn't it be better if we just had the awful sexual lust intead of the deep loving feeling that bonds us together?

Either we are just animals with a more advanced version of the sex-drive, or we are truly special with the ability to love someone more than life itself, to attach yourself to someone's soul and become one.
Doesn't the bible speak of marriage as a way of becomming one? Where did all of that go? Where did the Love go? Is it even left?
I honestly do believe that it is, and I am sure that I have found the love. Even at the young age of 18, I am more sure of that than of anything ever in my life.
When one can think of the person, not being in love at all, and still say: "She is the one", then it must be true. When you have gone past fleshly desire and ventured into the deep world of the unknown love, then... you are there.
