Death Note EP 2 Summary - SPOILERS!
There's just a recap of what happened last episode, with Light saying he's going to rid of all evil in the world. Next day, he tells Ryuk that he has to write criminals names down in it everyday and has to keep up, even with his studies and life. Later that day, Light's sister wants help with her homework. Light invites her in and Ryuk warns him that whoever touches the Death Note can see him. And Light's like, "Oh now you tell me".
There's this gathering at ICPO (International Criminal Police Organization AKA Interpol), about all these deaths that occured in such a short time. They're argueing if it's all just a coincidence or a murder, but then someone says that they should talk to "L" about it. Everyone silences. "L" is known for solving difficult cases. Watari, L's comrade, shows up and says that L is already working on the case. Then the letter "L" shows up on the screen behind him.
Light and Ryuk are in an abandoned house, and it looks like Light is setting up something. He tells the Death God that he can't allow anyone to see/touch the Death Note, or he might kill them, even his own family.
Back at ICPO, L speaks about the case, saying that he suspects the murderer of being Japanese.
At Light's house, Ryuk questions on how the notebook is safe if it's in an unlocked drawer. Light explains that he set some booby trap in it. (The book is under a flase bottom, and if someone were to take it off, the Death Note will ignite on fire by some fuel, and the evidence will be burned.)
Next day, Light tells Ryuk of all these sites that talk about him. They give him a name, "Kira", which comes from the word "killer".
There's then a special announcement from the ICPO. There's a guy annoucing that he's Lind L. Tailor, alias "L". He talks about the murderer saying that he's going to catch him. Light's saying "It's impossible to catch me, I have the Death Note!" Then, Tailor calls him evil for doing such things. Light gets pissed off and writes Tailor's name in the Death Note. 40 seconds later, he has a heart attack and is pulled of screen. Then the letter "L" appears on screen. L explains the he set a trap for him, saying he only broadcasted this annoucement in Kantou, Japan, now knowing that Light lives in that area. He tells him he's going to execute him.
There are final words of the two as the screen is spilt in half. "No matter what, I will find you and do away with you!" And they both annouce that they're "Justice".
