Now, the forum itself was rather difficult for me to gather much information in, since the topics there speed by at the speed of light. Since it's such a fast moving forum, I had great difficulty trying to get up close and personal with a lot of the threads and their content, and of course, the Opening Poster behind it, and so because of the lack of reasonable pace of this forum, I'll be writing this review more and more over time.
So here we go!
In my opinion, the GD, or General Discussion forum, if you want to overlook abbreviations and get to the actual meaning behind the forum; gets a lot of bad reputation from the majority of other forums. Some of it is completely unnecessary, in my own opinion, but I'm certain that the majority will try to claim that their attacks on the forum are justified and necessary, even when they go out of their way to flame the residents of the GD. The forum I noticed treating the GD most like a steaming pile of s**t is the subject of my last review- the Gaia Community Discussion, or GCD for short.
While researching some user's opinions on the GD, I took an interest in what someone of the GCD had stated about the comparison of GD and GCD.
Quote:
The GD is mostly bad trolls and jerks. And the GCD is mostly stuck up with that 'holier than you' attitude.
Given the choice between the two of them, I'd choose being a casual troll or something

To see a Gaian within the GCD being shown the light and able to spot the ugly side of the forum she was in, when it seemed to me that others - namely, a lot of the regulars there- could not, filled me with a sense of satisfaction, and hope that others, too could realize that their "holier than thou" ways were far from welcoming.
But personal opinion on the GCD aside (since that was more of a topic for my previous review), what also stuck out to me was this user that had posted in the GCD had described the GD in a negative light, but it seemed that had she been given a choice to take just one forum out of the two, she would've chosen the General Discussion forum, rather than the Gaia Community Discussion.
