Today is my mom and dads aniversery. They been together for 27 years now. I was in the kitchan and she says "I hope you find somebody like that in your life, I dont care if its a boy or girl, just dont hide it from me."
Sometimes she says things like that just at random. Its amazing how a person can go to not accepting your sons sexuality to actually accepting it even if it takes years to do. We live in a world filled with people who judge others based on looks and sexual attractions. If a man and a woman are together it is okay. If a woman and a woman are together, in many cases that is also okay. But if a man and a man are together that seems to be the biggest thing people get ruffled about.
I my self...I do not only like guys but I am a crossdresser. For my mom it was a hard thing to accept, not so much my dad.
To go out into the world each day and be judged upon by how you look and what sexuality you are. People trying to figure out your gender when it shouldn't even matter. People believe that doing such things with your self is against god. I won't go into religous matters with this but I just really don't think so. There are some people who walk around and people not even notice what they wear or who they are. They are accepted but in some areas it just isn't.
The one thing about my family is I know even though they may not understand what I talk about or who I am they still love me. And that is what encourages me to let them meet the man of my dreams. whee
