Reality and Wishes
I have nightmares
I have nightmares... ones that I've had since I was a small child. They started out bad, a woman being hit by a man. As I got older, for some odd reason, they got worse. He killed her recently. The rather gruesome nightmares kept me from sleeping and eating. I lost weight, which isn't good for a fourteen year old girl that weighs 88 pounds. I'm fine now, rather use to them, really. Poetry was my only escape. I would rather not put most of it up, but here are two poems, allowing you a look into my worst dreams.

Unforeseen, Untold

Words on a page never seemed so real,
the unheard voice of a wounded girl.
Blue eyes ever so emotional,
pale cheeks soaked from salty tears.
A trust is broken,
a bond is twisted and snapped.
She hears a gasp from the side of the room,
and turns to see nothing there.

A wooden floor is crimson with a woman’s blood.
Her expressionless face stares into yours.
Matted brown hair, curly and loose
hangs over her brows and hides her green eyes.
Gruesome gashes on arms and legs
are due to beatings from a tall man.
She looks down, green eyes turning black,
fainting on the spot.

Back in her room, the blue eyed girl sobs.
So young, yet still seeing such things.
As an only escape, she grabs a notebook.
An uncaring mother,
a violent brother,
and nightmares.
If only she could hear
the voice of someone that could help.

When the nightmares first started getting bad.

Green Eyes to Black

A storm brews outside of a shed.
Rain pounds relentlessly upon a steel roof,
an ominous wind howls through the air.
Cries heard on the inside of the shed
are left unresponsive.
Slight glances
ignore the wails
for fear of being slain.

A once pure soul,
before unharmed.
She had a heart of diamond,
a soul of crystal,
to all be turned to ash.
Everything is upside down now
because of
that wretched man.

Wounds are now bleeding,
her heart beat now slowing.
The woman stares into your soul.
Lift a hand,
pull her up,
get her out.
You try to hold her,
but she falls limp.

Her deep green eyes still stare
into your own.
Her pupils dilate, green blackening.
You can still save her,
call her,
grab her.
But you run
from the black eyes.

Probably the most scary part of them, when her beautiful green eyes fade into an inky black.

No one listened when I told them, and I don't expect you to listen, either. I'm not really looking for a critique. I wrote these while angry and scared, so of course they're not going to be perfect.
