It takes away your freedom; it takes away your pride.
It keeps you down no matter how you try to stand,
It pushes you off the edge and leaves you hanging by a strand.
It turns you cruel as it poisons your mind,
It darkens your view, and, suddenly, you’re blind.
Blind to all the things you once held dear,
Now you couldn’t care less as you start to disappear.
Now you walk the streets with that blank look on your face,
Like the zombie you now are, you fall right into place.
What could be so evil as to do all this to you?
