Well, we’re all moved in the new house. Do you know how much junk a kid can accumulate in just a few years? A god-awful amount of crap. Geez, I thought we’d never get it all hauled in. We’ve still got stuff to sort out too.
Still, it’s worth it. Worth it knowing we won’t be moving again. After all that, I’m certainly not.
The whole ‘no more magic lessons’ went over quite well with the kids, dammit. Even though I gave Glaki a spell-creature for a while. Kid loves dinosaurs right now, see. So I thought I could make him a little dinosaur out of magic. No harm there--it doesn’t eat or crap or anything. Quite amusing to make it follow him around. He loved it, though it didn’t make him more interested. Clearly, bribes do not work.
And in retrospect, it would have been good to wait until summer to start weaning them off energy. Oh well. Rangi’s certainly a devil, the tantrum she threw left my ears ringing for days…ugh. Glaki didn’t kill anyone at school, so all’s well. Don’t give me that. I’m not being cruel, the kids have to learn. They’re doing pretty good so far. I’d help, but no more magic lessons, so that’s off. The extra energy is making me antsy…I’m not used to having so much anymore.
The days are pretty good, not much to do..aside from…unpacking. Almost killed the welcome lady, but how was I supposed to know what she was doing there? We need to get some more food, but I dunno where anything is. Cid goes to his job now, and I would go hang around, but I think that’s frowned upon. Don’t want to piss the paying people off…or his coworkers. That might make things awkward. I know Cid's not ashamed of his family, but why make life harder than it is?
