As it has been on the lips *not to mention fingers* of me and many of my friends lately, I want to write about waiting....well, at this point it's more of a physical need to write, but that's beside the point. Did you ever notice, how your whole life, is just waiting? That's really just about all you ever do, for even when you obtain something, it to will come to an end, or at least, that portion of it, and you'll have to wait to get something new, or for the next part. Your whole life, you are taught to wait, but it's hard. Few people still practice, and remember the old saying, "The journey is have the fun" well, the journey is generally waiting. When you are hungry, you have to wait until the food is in your stomach to be satisfied, when you turn on a computer, you wait for the computer to be on, then you wait for things to load, you wait for the internet to connect, when you get up in the morning, you wait for the sleep to pass from your eyes, and for you to be fully awake, when you are in class, you wait for it to start, then you wait for it to end, you wait for and through lunch, wait in the afternoon for school to let out, you wait to get on the bus, you wait till you are home, you wait till you get inside, you wait to be done with your homework, you wait for people to get home, you wait for dinner, you wait for a show to be on, you wait for the show to be over, even in sleep, you wait to fall asleep, and you wait to wake up. Life itself, is just waiting for death. You are not meant to look at that and be depressed though, for remember, this is half the fun. If you enjoy everything that happens while you wait, then, you can really say that you enjoy life. One thing that people wait most for, is love. You have to wait to find that "special one" you have to wait to be mature enough to date, you have to wait till you are both ready, and when disaster strikes, you have to wait for your broken heart to mend. Although it's not easy, sometimes, you just need to say to yourself "This pain hurts now, but, soon enough, it will pass, and I'll be better again, soon, I'll be able to look at this, and I'll be able to smile, knowing that I learned SOMETHING, or, at least I think I did...was I suppose to?" lols, when you think like that, it can make unpleasant waiting much easier and faster. Waiting can also be sped up, by something, or someone, taking your attention away, and distracting you, like when you want someone to reply to a PM, you might do a puzzle, or fish, or listen to music, and when you're waiting for a broken heart to mend, you might have a friend, or someone close be there, to make you smile, and take your mind off the pain. Although waiting can be really hard sometimes, and so many of us in this society are used to instant gratification making it even harder, it's natural, it's necessary, it's life. Everything requires waiting.
So I'll wait....
So I'll wait....
