1"You, Lord, are my shepherd. I will never be in need. 2You let me rest in fields of green grass.
You lead me to streams of peaceful water, 3and you refresh my life.

You are true to your name, as you lead me along the right paths. 4I may walk through valleys are dark as death, but I won't be afraid. You are with me, and your shepherd's rod makes me feel safe.

5You treat me to a feast, while my enemies watch. You honor me as your guest, and you fill my cup until it overflows. 6Your kindness and love will always be with me each day of my life, and I will live forever in your house, Lord"


P___ You, Lord, are my shepherd, I will never be in need... (Ps 23.1).
David had a rock-solid confidence in God. He didn't wonder whether God was
going to give him food to eat, clothes to wear, or a place to live. Part of that
confidence came out of David's experiences. In spite of all the scrapes and tight
places he found himself in, God never let him be hurt or go hungry. And part that
confidence came from the fact that David knew God very well. He knew him like
a best friend. He know God was-and is-Kind, loving, and powerful.
____There was another reason that David could say "I will never be in need." All of
David's hops and dreams were caught up in the Lord. Even if he had been forced
to go without some of the things that people consider necessities, he wouldn't have
missed them much. David's relationship with God meant everything to him. As
long as he knew that God was leading him and their friendship was where its was
supposed to be, David had the things he wanted most. All the rest was Extra
