Vector art's true definition
A lot of various vector artists that use Photoshop and Flash have this strange notion...

For some reason, these same people think that any software that requires a pen tool can qualify towards producing "vector art". This asinine statement is far from fact. The main purpose of using vector programs such as Adobe Illustrator is to create a design that can enlarge and reduce in size without losing any quality. Logos, graphics for business cards, envelopes, and stationery are good examples of its use.

There are several people out there that doesn't understand this. Photoshop is a raster based tool. Even though it has the bezier curves Illustrator uses in its pen tool, the behavior is not the same. If you tried to enlarge the design, this is where the differences between Illustrator and Photoshop begin. You'll notice that if you tried to enlarge your design in Photoshop, it will result in a horrible pixelated mess.
