Yoozepode, as a babe, is crying in the rain. His mother tries to comfort him, but has no success. By now the battle has carried itself closer to Yoozepode's birthplace. It is only about a quarter of a mile away now...
One of Lord Doxis' watch birds, which was circling overhead waiting for its meal, heard Yoozepode's cries, and reported the sound to its master. Lord Doxis acted quickly, grabbing a bow and arrow from one of his soldiers, he fired an arrow in the direction the bird had told him. Hearing a scream and then no noise at all, he was satisfied.
Though dark clouds still covered the ground below, Yoozepode's mother could see what happened to her son. A long arrow protruded from his stomache, causing him to bleed so much, it showed underneath the showering rain.
