Nogard's PoV
"Can we poke her with a stick?" I asked. Some of Nerissa's blank androids had come with a stretcher and carried Dragon to Med Deck Two and strapped her down. "Her eye is open but she's not blinking...or moving...or even breathing I think."
"No," Xangord replied. "The tranquilizer will keep her from moving."
"But it's just...creepy," I said.
As Nogard leaned over Dragon's head, the door to Med Deck Two whooshed open and Nissa followed by some strangers entered. Two of the people that entered were gwees and one flew over and sat on my shoulder. Looking at it, I asked, "What do you want?"
Suddenly, the girl that came in with them yelled. Looking at her, I instantly knew that she was less of a demon than I was. Her blood was mucked with that of an angel. Creating a pair of fire swords from my fists, I crossed my arms over my shoulders and rushed forward to meet her in battle. It had been a while since I fought another demon, and if my chance was against a pittiful quarter demon then I would still take the fight.
"Stop it you two," Xangord said from behind me. Suddenly, several tendrils of smoke shot by me and also wrapped around me--how Xangord is able to make smoke solidify around someone is something I would like to know.
Unable to move, I said to Xangord, "Man! I was looking forward to the fight!"
