"Outside shows only skin shallow. A brain advocates a lie shown on a face, seen only in the day and taken off in the lonliness of her nights to reveal the tears not seen by anyone but the darkness. Beneath her skin flow crimson streams of life leading to a hollow core of a girl once known to life but now lost to all concept and reason to the deep abyss of depression and mortal suffering. The flesh of her wrist is raised in flashes of speratically sequential pain causing the crimson streams to flow from their path to slowly become a river down her hand and ending in a puddle of red necessity on the floor, stained so many times by the devastation in her life that it can never be removed. Standing in front of a sheet of glass, cracked beyond the brink of repair and on the edge of total destruction, she looks for someone or something she cannot find. Tears slide down a quiet face and fall to the stained carpet resembling a bandage. Lifting up a quivering hand she smashes into the glass. Drops of pain fall down her cheeks as she collapses to he knees, cradling her face in trembling hands and sobbs. Looking up at where this magic glass used to be, she realizes the mirror told the truth?she was lost?. she was the only one who was lieing. Taken aback, she rose to her feet and sought a handled glass. A burst of tears suddenly erupt from her red eyes as if a damn had just been removed. Her reflection is silently weeping as I feel drops run down my own cheek, wondering what?s happening. And as if woken from a dream, reality snaps back to my senses as tears well up in my eyes. Trying to hold back sobs, I realize, I wasn?t merely looking through the glass, but into it. This girl?. Who was so tortured and hurt wasn?t seeing her reflection????????.
