On Sunday October 8 i went whitwater kayaking at the middle ocoee in Tennessee
here is how it went i arrived at the meeting place a rode up to the put in on the ocoee with some freinds when we arrived i got ready and we put in the first rapid is called grumpys because people who have had swims there have been grumpy afterwards anyway we kept paddling and the next rapid is called staging eddy its pretty easy with alittle bit of a challeng then comes gonzo shoals its easy but this time a i ran into a fellow boater and flipped the water is about a foot deep so i dragged along the bottom and eventualy rolled up after getting into position and was ok after resting a bit with only a few scrapes and bruises after that came the rapid called broken nose it was easy because i took the easy route after that is slice n dice wich was a lot of fun its good surfing too after that is moon shoot it was alright but not the most fun then comes the absolute worst rapid on the river here is a very detailed desription of it, its fun but very hard ::::The river will bend to the right and you will notice a large rock outcropping in the middle of the river. A metal plate is affixed to the boulder at the right side of the outcropping. This is Double Suck -- and on this rock outcropping is found a nearly-extinct plant, Ruth's Golden Aster. The metal plate notifies you of a prohibition against walking on the island. Double Suck is a Class III ledge, and gets its name from two closely spaced holes, the second of which is very strong and advisable to avoid. Run this four-foot drop with a strong angle pointing river left in order to eddy out behind the large rock and avoid the second hole. Many thrashings have occurred from paddling right down the middle and thinking the worst is over, before being sucked back into the second hole,this happened to me lol any way we went down to double trouble wich is alot of fun im working on getting a pic of me there after that comes flipper wich is kinda hard but fun after flipper is about a half mile of easy class II water with some nice little stuff then comes tablesaw the best rapid of em all i ran it down the middle and got wet then we continued past diamond splitter then cats pajamas then hells hole my personal favorite surfing spot then comes powerhoase rapid but we did not run it because we took out at hells hole after surfing a lot then we went and ate at this awsome pizza place called lupis its the best so thats what i did on sunday october 8
