There are only a few of them out there,
Those you can call your friends.
The best ones are especially rare,
But they'll stick with you till the end.
Through good or bad, thick or thin,
They're there to keep you strong.
They're more than you're friends, they're your kin,
And they're with you when you're wrong.
This world isn't perfect, though,
And there are those who will betray.
They say they're you're friend, not letting you know,
And for no crime, you will pay.
They'll share you're secrets, keeping you blind,
And they'll never be there to guide you.
But you won't know, you'll think they're kind,
Unbeknowntst to the truth around you.
Eventually, though, the truth will be found,
And you'll realize how blind you've been.
You'll hate yourself, you'll be unsound,
And you'll hate them for their hurtful sin.
But they don't care about what they've done,
And they'll never care about the way you feel.
You were their puppet and they have won,
It's over now, you'll have to deal.
But you're friends are here to help you,
Even though they've been ignored.
Your real friends will help you through,
'Cause your other ones got bored.
So look for your true friends,
And trust them to see your good side.
If you've ignored them, make amends,
'Cause they'll be with you till the day you've died.
