There once was a boy named Ray
Who liked to swim in the bay
He got caught in a net
Because of a bet
That explains why I haven't seen him today

~ This is my most popular poem. I wrote it back when I was 14, in grade eight. I remember reading it in front of the class & them all laughing at it. My teacher then commented that it was very cute & original & to continue writing peoms.
Since then I have used this poem in a radio show we had to perform in drama, in grade nine & it returned in my English work in my poetry booklet from this past school year. I have just posted it on a poetry guild & so far everyone loves it.
