Honestly..
My mind’s been drawing blanks lately, I guess it’s time for honesty.
I’ve been in a dark space;
Between a rock and a hard place.
It’s been destructive deep inside.
I hide; can never rise;
Like the sun.
I know that I’m number one
In my own story.
Don’t need the glory;
I’ve won and now make his—
Story.
His story is in a constant state of continuity.
Watching it play out,
Wondering if it’s new to me.
It’s all about who you see.
You see the same man making better choices;
I see a new man beginning his life.
He wishes to one day have a kid and a wife.
He’s alive.
While me? I’m past living.
Been dead for so long;
My soul is past kindred.
No correlation to his life,
But his presence has given;
Life to his past self,
That was his transition.
Rectify my bad decisions.
