So, my 2nd cousin, he's like the smartest guy in the world, right? And he's a teacher at university, and they have this huge archive of all the family trees in new Brunswick. And more. I'm guessing.

Anyways, he printed off a copy of the McKim (my mother's side) family tree, and he gave them to all of my relatives for x-mas two years ago. I remember looking through it back then, and not understanding any of it. It's SOOO thick..

But last night, at 2:00 am I got this crazy urge to go look at it, after looking at my old script for A Midsummer Night's Dream. As I flipped through the family tree... I saw a page called "Famous Ancestors and Relatives"...

I found out we are related to the Ganong's family - they made the first chocolate bar, here in St. Stephen (no big surprise - we're not a huge city or anything) and some guy who was an olympic speed skater in 1903 for Canada. Something like that.

Then, I read down a little further, and found out I was George W. Bush's like.. 42nd cousin.. or something. I was furious. I hate that man with a passion. Then.. I read something and nearly choked.

I stared at the page. " whee eek blaugh sweatdrop " I was god smacked.. just after reading my old script from weeks ago, and doing an entire play on Shakespeare, I find out I am a -blood- relative of Shakespeare...(not just marriage. My whole blood ancestor, she married John Shakespeare, and then had William..) Holy hell! That ish freakin' amazing!

I must be off... see yers!
