You Are You
"Who are you, really?
You are not a name or a height, or weight or a genter. You are not an age and you are not where you are from.
You are your favorite books and the songs stuck in your head. You are your thoughts and what you eat for breakfast on saturday mornings.
You are a thousand things buy everyone chooses to see the million things your are not.
You are ot where you are from, you are where you're going and I would like to go there, too. " - Madison Kuhn

So, this quote got me thinking. It is beautiful and completely correct. An outer appearance is not what makes you, you. For so many years I have hated things about myself and recently, I noticed that everything I disliked about myself has been about my outer appearance.

I have never liked my weight and no matter what I did, I always ended up at the same place. I couldn't loose the weight fast enough, or I would be tempted into eating things that are considered unhealthy. And after a while, the name calling and the taunting because ridiculous. I would listen to stupid kids that had no idea what they were saying instead of accepting myself for who I am. And it isn't the number on the scale that I should be worrying about. It's the person on the inside that counts.

I want people to see me for who I am. And I want it to be someone that others enjoy being around. I don't want people to look at me and think of me as 'annoying' or 'irritating' but instead I want to be known for being honest and kind. I always want to make sure that I am someone that my parents would be proud of. And I want to make sure that I am proud of myself, too.
