I met a guy a while back. I could talk about how kind he is or how handsome he is, but I will save that rant for another time. I have really liked this guy for a while. We met through my mom. She was trying to get us together. For a while, we would go to lunch or go to the movies, but it was never a date. I always hoped it was, but it never was. I could understand that, though, so I didn't ever mind it. I just really enjoyed his company.
Two nights ago, we went out to dinner. Like all of the times before, I had assumed that it wasn't a date but really just two friends going out and grabbing something to eat. But no, that wasn't it. And, I can't describe the joy I had when he asked me to officially be his girlfriend. Now, that's when I went into my idiot mode where I smile and say nothing for minutes. I get so awkward sometimes it's insane.
This rant was really just because I am a happy girl right now. It is kind of like one of those high school girl crushes that make me all giddy everytime I get a text from him. Or, anytime I see a picture of him I smile. I am just happy because it finally happened. I had hoped it would for a while now, and it finally has. I could not be happier. <3
