Ever since the very notion of Dungeons and Dragons entered my life,
I became possessed with a desperate desire of playing that game.
A desire until know unfulfilled, simply because... I am not a people's person.
But besides my strikingly horrible social skills,
and my impressive inability to take manure from anyone;
I had discovered that what really keeps me from playing,
what really makes difficult for me to get to play the game,
it is my character choice:
Tiefling Swordmage:
I think is freaking awesome;
but it's 4E, and the only ones who dig 4E are the others whom like me
got their D&D's first contact through 4E.
Every other single D&D player, which are the vast majority,
simply loathes the living hell out of 4E,
and most of them would, and/or will, get viscerally serious about
defending 3E (or 3.5E some of them).
And since I am me, I go all "I am not you, don't dare impose me your ideals! Nish destroys!"
And in resume, I may never get to play for real.
I've got really close to actually play, but then again...
People are my never-ending source of disappointment and hate.
Yet, I stubbornly keep the dream alive.
5E is coming, and may not include neither Tiefling nor Swordmage...
