Another update, rejoice!
I just finished the Meltokio sewers yesterday. Even without the week I couldn't play (we had company), the stupid dungeon took FOREVER. The block puzzle was a little difficult, most of the problem was the time it took pushing each block down the line and shrinking/de-shrinking myself. gonk After I'd pushed blocks off at every available corner and turned every colored wheel I could find...I couldn't get out. The pressure block was pushed, no hole undiscovered! I had every item and every lick of gold, and I COULD NOT GET OUT!!! My "guide" of sorts (veteran friend) told me I had to go behind a waterfall to meet the convicts I was supposed to fight. The waterfall was right up against the wall! How the heck was I supposed to get past it?!
T3T I then found out I had to shrink myself. Ryan (teh veteran) didn't remember and the walkthrough didn't mention it! It's not my fault I'm a clueless idiot.
I slunk past the waterfall(s), made myself big, and on with the team of convicts! I beat the snot out of them in some 20 seconds, met Regal, watched a highly amusing cutscene, then beat the snot out of the Fake.
Oh Lloyd, listen to your insticts! rofl "I just had a sudden violent urge to abandon you!"
Okay, okay. We moseyed our way through Meltokio (again) and I went 'round in circles trying to find the Elemental Research Laboratory We found it, Zelos and Sheena were aghast at the fact that we'd have to paddle across in a cargo vehicle, and the former took us to his place for the night.
Lloyd shall henceforth be known as "bud". All hail Sir Bud!!
The next morning, we went back the lab, acquired the wing pack (much joy) and walked on down to the Grand Tethe'alla Bridge. Sheena directed us to Kuchinawa, Lloyd showed off his lock-picking skills, and I learned how to steer an EC! -throws hands in the air- I had waaay to much fun with that.
Next, to Sybak: the city of idiots! We sneaked in to the basement via the half-elf's only source of sunlight, showed Kate that humans and those who share their blood can indeed get along, and she told us to take Presea to Altessa. 'Course that meant going through Gaoracchia forest. Ooh, I was so eager to go there. Zelos wouldn't let us before and I was curious!
Gaoracchia is called the "Labyrinth Forest" with good reason. I spent 10 minutes searching for the memory circle so I could save! I found a glorious abundance of items (including a new staff for Raine) and a whole host of new undead monsters.
Whoopie.
I'm going to finish the forest tonight (or so help me...) and then forward! To Altessa's!
Or Mizuho, one of the two.
Have I mentioned that I really really love the Quick Jump option?
