)(Traits)(
Most of the family is rather gangly, with lean body. A rare few wear glasses, though that is more for appearance then an actual need for them. They often have they're hair up in strange designs. Some rumor that they only get it the constant twirling, pulling, and pushing they do on they're hair. Which is true, though it stays in place due to the numerous writing tools the often lose in the train that becomes they're hair.
Those who are part of the family often are hidden behind piles of books, papers and scrolls. So not everyone is sure whether all of them share the same traits. Those that actually take part in the daughter exchange, often do fit the clan description. As does the Headmistress, though one of her daughter does not.
They're not big on adopting members, which explains why they're family is the smallest. When they do accept adopted people, the often end up dead due to an experiment going wrong. Those that make it past two week start becoming as reclusive as those born to the family.
)( Skills and Duties)(
They handle all the magical needs of the house, from educating those outside they're family to maintain and preserve the spells that were laid down. If there is a need for advance magical knowledge they are called in. However thanks to the education, they are relayed on less, so they have less to do.
The nobles and higher members of the family basically sit around they're area and study. Those lower ranking members depending on what job they have are often running all over the fortress.
)( Belgareth Family Area)(
Nearly impossible to fully map out, the Belgareth section of the Fortress is confusing. In part because they would often stop half-way due to a change of mind or have an accident. Dead ends are all over they're section. Though luckily the Xuruth family planned for the position of the libraries. Though finding ones classroom, may lead to unique places.
Lose spells and strange smells fill the air of they're corridors. The only way to walk around carefully is to be guided by one of the students, daughters, or Lab rats who act as the slaves of the family.

Curiousity and Insanity are considered traditions, however that isn't true.
)( At 70 years of age, a daughter can officially leave the family area to go to other.
)( When an adoptive daughter joins them, they hold a small party to greet them.
)( They attempt to have a party at least once a week, this isn't to enjoy good food and talking. Its more the headmistress's way of check that everyone is still alive without have to walk all over their section.
