Nor ever was.

I am a profile maker, a lower form of a profile designer. Heck the two are completely different things.
From my understanding on this site in general, a profile designer makes and designs profiles. I can't design, so therefore I am a profile maker. I can only make them. As for the word "make", that's the general construction of the images and the coding. (Designing is taking into account all of these things in a specific manner to create a 'style'.) Yes, that means "I got no style."

Why am I making this distinction now? Is it out of rage, fear, or attention that I never get?
Well... I suppose a conjunction of the three. I completely understand how one can be nonchalant or ever-loving to the aspect of art, design and quality that is what it is, but the buck stops at why. Do we all have to have that same love? Not necessarily.

Some people do it for the money, others do it because they love to. More importantly, others do it because they can. Not every aspect, but the aspects they like the most. Why? Because of the because we can excuse. No one should ever tell us to limit ourselves, so bother do it on our own? -Sigh-

What I'd like to say to most people is that profile designers are a great many, though with their views it's completely subjective, which is fine. What I'm greatly worried about is what became of looking at someone else's ways in their eyes and shoes. All over the Profile Discussion forum it's now a majority vote that states "your profile sucks s**t because you don't have style", or "it's a v2, throw it away" or even worse, "you can't do s**t, get the hell away from this forum in general". Well, who said I had to have a "style"? Who said I had to stay old school? Even more, who said I had to listen to your criticism? It is sad I'd take much of this to heart; it's the taking of this criticism that convinces us that there are not only people in the world who hate us, but there are people who will like and love us. And bringing me closer to the point, the haters generally exist in the situation of either too much love in what they do to the point of where they think they are perfect, or never seem to be criticized, seeing this as being great hidden satisfaction as to what is really just 'there.' But anywho.

I've never been a "profile designer", nor ever had intention of being one. I even remember telling my twin the first day of entering the forum that I'd only simply look in there to learn how to make a profile, not design one. I learned the hard way that the two things differ, but it is from learning the hard way that I learn best about the world. Life isn't easy, neither is learning.

So for some last words on this subject, I'm happy I'm not a profile designer. I'm a profile MAKER, a person who creates them. Design is too hard, making them is quite easy. I'm more like the machine rather than the human to it, which isn't so bad but better than being quite selective on my likes. And to be sure that I'm still human in my work, I converse with the people I make profiles for with as much detail as possible, so they too can take actual part in what is THEIR design, not mine. I make it, they design it. That is all I ever do, and all I ever ask. I'll definitely give opinions, but only if it's really all that necessary. It's them that we're talking about, with us as the creators. It is this happiness that lets me make them for free, to do as much as I can and spread it to others who are unable to scale these skills down themselves.

The fun specific parts of it all?
No deadlines.
No expectations.
No hand-me-downs.
And no harsh critiques. Only satisfaction.
