One Week Later...


We were just about packed. I had a small satchel filled with my belongings. It was waterproof; thank goodness. Anyways, Rina and them decided to come with us. They were on their way here, swimming across the sea. Sam had his own waterproof satchel, and it had a few essentials in it. Food, water, clothes. He didn't take that much clothes; he figured we could buy some when we got there. Finally, there was a knock at the door. I raced to it and opened it.
"Rina!" Sam said, running to my side. We hadn't seen each other for a couple of months!
"I can't wait to go. A new life in a new country!" said Mary. "I've lived in Europe for 273 years! This is so exciting!"
"Let's go then! Are you all packed?" asked Robert. He was holding his own waterproof sack.
"Yes, we finished a while ago. We sold the house yesterday, and we are giving the furniture to the new homeowners. So that is all taken care of," I responded.
"Come on! Race you!" cried out Sam as he took off through the streets of Paris.


We were swimming. The strings on my waterproof bag were tied around my waist. We ran for a while, but that wasn't very effective since Sam couldn't run quiet as fast as we could.

After about a week of nonstop swimming (well...actually...I occasionally had to carry Sam while he was eating food......It was okay though. He weighed like a feather to me), we finally saw land.
Lilith! LILITH! I screamed in my head.
What?! What!! Are you there yet? she asked.
Yes! We see land!
Well....let me track you! What do you see?
Uh...I see this church kind of building and this person who is....IS THAT MATTHIAS? OH MY GOSH! COME TO WHERE MATTHIAS IS!!!!! I practically exploded my brain yelling that.
In about 3 seconds I saw a small figure run up to Matthias. Lilith! I told the others it was her.

Wow. I couldn't believe so much happened in a day. We were settling in by the warm fire in Lilith's cottage. This was so exciting. Sam was laying down next to me, his head on my lap. I wondered what would happen next?
