BACKGROUND
Personality: Ian is not overly dark or brooding, but his face is almost never seen cracking into a smile that goes farther than his lips. He doesn’t actively push people away, but neither does he seek them out. Very few things can elicit any sort of ‘spark’ to come into his eyes. People who have known him say with saddened eyes that it is almost as if part of his soul has died.
History: Up until his 15th birthday Ian’s life had been happy, if unremarkable. Though after a letter arrived inviting him to the prestigious Willow Brook Academy, he thought that would change. And while it did, it was sadly not for the better. While the others boys around him reveled in the thought that they would soon become warriors, and find their Elemental to serve and to love, Ian’s hopes diminished. Every great thing of destiny here he heard of seemed to revolve around the Elementals, they were the ones who were goddess touched and wielded great powers, they were the ones who were lauded as the great heroines of the land. As a male, it seemed his fate was one only of subservience and support. Throughout his first year, these thoughts sprouted into terrible jealousy and seemingly hatred of their female counterparts. But such petty feelings were ones that Ian could not support for so long, not with the calmness that enveloped the school or the small acts of kindness the Elementals did him throughout his enrollment at the school. And so, during his second year, his animosity faded away. Yet even then, it felt as though there was a wound in his heart that could not heal. He had no reason to hate, but even still, there was longing in his heart for that which he could not obtain. And so his second year passed, and included a brief awkward period in which he wished he were a girl thankfully that was over quickly. But during the summer between his second and third years, Ian’s heart settled. His fate was not one that could make him happy, but it was the one entrusted to him.
Family: Ian has a small family with a few sisters.
Pets: None yet at school.
