Physical Description: Standing just shy of six feet, Nolitus fills out every inch of it with lean muscle. Though normally such a frame would seem more fitted to someone who did not spend most of their time indoors taking care of sick patients, Nolitus is firmly committed to physical health, never neglecting his own as well. Besides, musculature helps when moving unconscious (or dead) bodies around.
When working, Nolitus always keeps his dark brown -almost black- hair slicked back, as to keep it out of his eyes. When off-duty though, he allows it to hang in loose waves surrounding his face.
Garment: Again something that varies on a working, non-working basis. When working as a healer Nolitus will dress himself in a light, unadorned cotton over shirt of pale blue, belted over a soft pair of brown felt pants. Over the course of a particularly busy day, the shirt itself may disappear though as Nolitus, having no time to spare to search out bandages if none are readily available, will tear off strips to wind around wounds.
When off duty, the healer allows himself to indulge in a small bit of vanity, and will dress in embroidered silken tunics with an overcoat, colors generally ranging in the earth tones of green and brown.
Weapon: As a healer, Nolitus has no reason to be proficient with any weapon other than an herb knife. But as a Royal Healer, it’s much more proactive to prevent any injuries to his charges in the first place, and as such learned how to handle whiplike weapons. Each of his daily belts is in fact some sort of disguised weapon, his favorite being one where the buckle is actually a concealed spike on the tip.
Demeanor: Having many years to practice his bedside manner, Nolitus comes off as quite friendly and competent. With a few words and a smile, he can gently break the news that a limb is going to have to be amputated, repressing emotional duress with his voice, and physical with his right arm. However, Nolitus is firmly committed to the persona of a healer, and as such always wants to feel in control of a situation. One failing of this is a slightly fanatical trend towards perfection. Always will he attempt to minimize his own mistakes or limits, never calling attention to them himself.
And if you should do anything that inhibits care of his patients… well, most likely you’ll become one of them.
