I feel like you're wrapping your hands,
tenderly around my neck,
waiting for my wind pipe to close,
for my life to just snap.

But really, all you did was laugh,
and turned away from me.
Laughed and walked away,
while I called out your name.

I'm trying to reach you still though,
I'm not too sure if you've noticed.
I call out to you with my heart,
but can you even still hear my voice?

When it whispered to you all those nights?
When we talked quietly under the covers,
at our secret sleep overs?
Or how we whimpered when we were scared?

I wonder if you can even still remember me.
Through all of it, what will be left?
When you cleaned out our heart,
and your concious....

I'm trying to reach you still though,

Do I still have a space in there?
Or am I thrown to the winds again,
just there for when you need someone
to beat up or taunt?

My mind tells me you don't,

It speaks in your voice,
and whispers things to me like we
used to do late at night.

When we watched the stars fall
and made a wish, it reminds me,
We wished to be together forever,
forever and a day.

So, I'll be waiting for you to come back.
To whisper to me again as we lay
playfully under the covers,
whispering to keep the monsters of the dark away.

I'll be waiting here in the field where we made a wish,
waiting to hear you try and stifle a yawn,
for you to grab my hand and say,
'Welcome to forever... and a day~'
