Ok. On the 23rd Shadow Sophia and myself spent the night at my mother's to do our Christmas with her the following day. Sophia made out like a freaking bandit, as expected. I didn't get much, and Shadow got less, but what we did get was appreciated. Plus, Shadow got a stocking from them this year, which was an upgrade. lol. Christmas Eve, the twins and Bradley got new bikes as their "one gift" to open the night before. Surprise surprise the unappreciative little bastards complained "Why would you give me a bike at 11 pm when I can't ride it?" "You don't open a bike!" oy. God forbid you be grateful you got exactly what you asked for. Mine was a triple thing of mascara, including the Lash Stilleto I've wanted to try for a while^^
Shadow, Phantom, and myself stayed up all night helping Mima wrap gifts and fill the stockings, which we had to set up on the couches because we couldn't find the tacks to hang them. We finally hit the hay at 6 something only to wake up at 9 because the kids were back from their dad's and ready to get into their presents. I got a few new shirts and new nail polish. New eyeliner AND a sharperner for it, which I love. My "big" present from the kids' dad and Mima was a dark red Nintendo DS with Super Mario Bros! woot! Shadow's big gift was the Tekken game complete with art book and arcade stick, exactly what he wanted^^ He also got new jammies, running shoes, and all the Whoppers his heart could desire. My father got me a totally wicked Vamps vs Wolves Chess set as something for both Bry and myself. It's soooo awesome.
I cleaned Sophia's drawers out the day before we went to mom's to make room for her new clothes. Between Mommy's family and Daddy's family, what was once half a drawer full of clothes she can wear turned into both of her drawers full to the brim and the top of Mommy's dresser full of stuff she can wear. O.o Plus, all the toys her heart could desire, including a new house phone and a Vtech laptop. The laptop was courtesy of mommy's job^^
Sophia took a nap early in the evening on New Year's Eve so she was awake to watch the ball drop, and give mommy and daddy New Year's kisses^^ Other than that, it was pretty uneventful, as far as holidays go. They say whomever you give your first kiss of the new year to is the person you're supposed to be with for the rest of the year. If that's true, Shadow and I are supposed to have another year together^^
