A common Anti-Homo-Rights argument is that every great nation that has embraced homosexuality and others have fallen.
This is, arguably, because the society becomes too disjointed and ununified.
The great intellectual societies who have embraced homosexuality and other ["perverted"] practices have fallen, in accordance, with the acceptance.
I need not elaborate.
Entropy is the physical property that if something is not maintained constantly, diligently, it will eventually deteriorate until it is nothing. We have evidence of this surrounding us everywhere-- rocks erode, relationships wither, the sun will give out, nails grow, food spoils, etc.
This property, as they argue, applies to society-- let it grow too disjointed, too poorly connected and maintained, and it will fall.
As I'm not an anthropology or sociology major, I certainly am not in a position to argue that, so for now, as it seems reasonably well supported, I shall assume this to be a general truth.
Then, can it be assumed that the deterioration of society is a negative concept?
If, in order to sucessfully exist, society must be tightly maintained, and exclusive to certain peoples, should we really be viewing society as necessary?
This is getting into Anarchism. For the record, I haven't an opinion on it, other than, society seems to be unfortunately necessary. Why should this be so?
Is it completely necessary to have something in life that is somewhat exclusive, and very binding?
What if we were one of the ones excluded? What if I were homosexual? Society would be necessary, but at the same time, I would be denied either it or myself.
Therefore, it can't be said that society is necessary for all, or one would have to sadly assume that some people are destined to give up themselves.
Given this very unfortunate circumstance, I have to conclude that I would rather be in a falling society, one that accepts, and that I can be complacently calm with, rather than be in a society that is not particularly binding upon myself, but have to look into the eyes of those it is on a daily basis.
Given a choice between society and humanity, I choose the latter.
