Anywhere you are, that's where I'll call home.
Happy Birthday to TOP-hyung/oppa
"Happy birthday hyung!" they all shouted out happily the second he opened his eyes, everyone crowded around his bed to greet him. They all fought and shoved each other for dominance of Seunghyun's line of vision. He had to groan and roll around a bit as the loud shouts and shoving made his head throb and didn't serve to do anything for his cranky attitude as it normally was in the morning.

"Go away. Give me my peace and quiet. I need my beauty sleep," After a long moment of loud shouts and yelling, he dragged himself out of bed reluctantly.

Seunghyun pushed his way past the other four, who were in a heated argument about who would get to spend time with him first.

"He's mine first!" Daesung yelled over the others.

"No, he's mine! I'm the youngest!" Seungri shouted, adding to the noise.

"He's not yours, he's most definitely mine first!" Jiyong yelled, shaking his head as Seungri and Daesung continued to argue with him.

"No! He's mine first, because I'm the next oldest," Taeyang inserted.

"When are they ever going to stop?" Seunghyun thought as he poured himself a bowl of cereal and a glass of orange juice. He sat down, alone, in the dimly lit kitchen. As the arguing escalated and moved into the living room, the head ache that had been building up finally made him slip out of the kitchen, and out of the apartment. As he heard the door latch quietly behind him, he sighed and pulled his hood up over his messy hair.

"No! I called him first. And you know it!" The other member's yells could be heard even as he walked down the hallway to leave the building.

Seungri looked the room. "Y-yah! Where'd he go?" He shouted. The others stopped bickering and looked around.

"HYUNG?" Jiyong called, sprinting from the room. "Yah! Hyung! Where'd you go?!" Jiyong complained as he and everyone else searched all around the apartment for their favorite hyung.

After 10 minutes of fruitless searching, they all somehow met back in the living room at the same time, glaring at each other in competition. "Yah! This is all YOUR fault, Daesung!" Seungri accused.

"What?! How is it MY fault? It's YOUR fault TOP-hyung left in the first place!" Daesung yelled back.

"SHUT UP BOTH OF YOU!" Youngbae screamed, everyone turned to look at Youngbae. "It wasn't either of your fault! ... IT WAS JIYONG'S!"

"WHAT?!" Jiyong screamed incredulously, "How is it MY fault?!" Daesung and Seungri turned to Jiyong. "GET HIM!" They both shouted and dived him, silencing him from saying much else.

Youngbae smirked and carefully stepped around the younger ones. Sliding on his shoes, he slipped out the door. Now I can go find TOP-hyung and have all of him to myself. Youngbae thought to himself as he cackled evilly within his mind. Oh how easy it is to trick those two stupid dongsaengs.

"Oh, TOP-hyung!" Youngbae sang out as he searched adamantly for his hyung. While Youngbae was out searching for his hyung, the other three were left in the apartments to fight.

"Yah! Get off of me! THE BOTH OF YOU!" Jiyong screeched as they rolled around and hit each other relentlessly, kicking shoving and all.

"I'm the damn leader of this group, and you WILL listen to what I tell you to do!" Jiyong screeched out as the three of them continued to roll around, hitting objects and furniture in their little fight. Pouting, Seungri and Daesung let go.

"But you scared TOP-hyung away!" Daesung whined

"No I did-... WHERE THE HELL HAS YOUNGBAE GONE NOW?" Daesung hugged himself and looked around his fearful eyes. "Omo, first TOP-hyung now Tae-hyung! Is... Is something TAKING them?" He squeaked out.

"Daesung, shut up." Seungri said with a deadpanned expression. "That is the stupidest thing I've heard come out of your mouth yet!" he continued as he shook his head.

"Yah, respect your hyung!" Daesung exclaimed

"Nyeeh!" Seungri said while he stuck out his tongue defiantly. "Don't hafta if I don't wanna~"

As the two started fighting, Jiyong found this as his ticket to escape. "And where do you think YOU'RE going Mr. Kwon Leader?!" Daesung said sharply as he temporarily stopped his bickering with the maknae causing Jiyong froze at the door, his shoes half on.

"Don't think I'll let you get away this time, oh no! First TOP-hyung then Tae-hyung? How stupid do you think I am?!"

"uuhh... very?" Jiyong said as he slipped on the rest of shoes and bolted out the door.

"YAH!" Daesung yelled, once again lunging at Jiyong.

"Too late, too slow, buh-bye!" Jiyong said as he ran out the door and down the hallway.

Seungri rolled his eyes at his hyung and walked into the kitchen. "Whatever, I'm eating his cake."

"Weren't you just fighting over TOP-hyung a moment ago, maknae?"

"Whatever, he'll come back sometime soon, right?" Seungri said, poking around in the refrigerator. "I mean, come on. It's ice cream cake. How can you not come back for that?"

"True…" Daesung nodded, and followed the youngest into the kitchen. Seungri pulled out the large white box and set it on the table.

"Let's stick candles in it, so it'll be more birthday like!"

"Without the birthday boy?" Daesung grumbled, looking down at the cake. He had picked up the cake last night with Youngbae. They had spent a long time in the shop ooh-ing and ahh-ing over the intricate decorations, and then talking non-stop to back to their apartment about how Seunghyun would just love the cake. But now, the guest of honor wasn't even here to make the sounds of admiration and appreciation he had hoped to hear.

"Hyung, are you going to smile and enjoy the cake or not?" Seungri asked, holding the small box of matches in his hand, ready to light the colorful candles stuck randomly in the cake. The phone rang, and he ran to put the call on speakerphone.

"Hel-"

"Don't you dare think about eating that cake," Youngbae's stern voice came through the speaker. "Don't even think about touching it,"

"Daayyyyuuuuuuum, how'd ya know Bae?!" Daesung said amazedly as he stared wide eyed at the phone, mouth hung open ridiculously. "You, like. Have those inkling spider senses. Like spider man! except.. mother..status." Daesung continued.

Youngbae was silent. "Um, thank... you...?"

Seungri sighed. "Fine, fine, fine..."

"Daesungie~ Do you want to go buy me ice-cream?" Seungri asked, latching onto Daesung's arm.

"Hell no, go get it yourself maknae."

"Fine, I will!" Seungri huffed. Grabbing his wallet and keys from the bench, he marched towards the door and exited the dorm. Daesung smirked before his eyes widening.
"YAH, THAT WAS MY WALLET! GET BACK HERE YOU THEIF!" He shouted, running after the maknae.

"GET BACK HERE!" Daesung yelled as he ran out of the building, into the street. He could see Seungri stop for a split second to grin before running off again. Other people walking down the sidewalk gave him strange looks as he weaved in and out of the morning commuters. Seungri laughed as he waived his hyung's wallet around.

"Ooph, sorry!" he said as he bumped into a tall man with the hood of his sweatshirt pulled up over his head, and immediately ran off so Daesung wouldn't catch up to him before he bought his ice cream with a waffle cone.

"It's.. fine," Seunghyun sighed, knowing the youngest member didn't hear his response. He probably wouldn't care anyways, he thought as he continued to make his way down the street. He jammed his hands into his pockets and continued to make his way out of the center of the city. He wanted to get away from all the busy streets, all the people pushing and shoving around, and all the arguing in the dorm.

But it wasn't possible when you carry around a cell phone, he was reminded when it began to ring.

"Hello?"

"Hey, hyung, I'm sorry about this morning," Youngbae's apologetic voice could be heard above the morning traffic.

"It's fine," Seunghyun said and pursed his lips. "I'm going to go now,"

"Wait! Hyun-"

"Why can't they just leave me in peace?" Seunghyun sighed as he ran a hand over his face tiredly. All he wanted was a day of peace and quiet, it was a day off for them anyways.

"Just one day all to myself, is that too much to ask for?" Seunghyun mumbled out. As he continued to mumble quietly to himself, he was suddenly knocked into someone, causing him to stumble back. In all the commotion, his hood had somehow fallen off from his head and a loud screeching was heard that hurt his ears.

"OH MY GOD, IT'S CHOI SEUNGHYUN! THE Choi Seunghyun! OH MY GOOOD! I love you so much!" the girl exclaimed loudly as she spazzed over meeting her idol.

"Oh s**t." Seunghyun thought.

"Uuhh... I.. gotta go.. bye!" Seunghyun mumbled out quickly as he made a mad dash out of there.

"WAIT, NO! COME BACK!" The girl screeched. Taking a quick glance behind himself, Seunghyun noticed that a group of girls were slowly forming behind him.

"I want your autograph!"
"Give me your hoodie, please?!"
"Can I hug you?!"
"Wait! Let me take a picture with you!"

Seunghyun skidded to a stop as a young girl appeared in front of him. In her hands were a box of chocolate.
"Choi oppa!" the girl exclaimed out happily as she was able to meet her idol on her way to delivering her present to her favorite idol.
"I-" but was cut off when Seunghyun frantically looked around and then made a mad dash in a different direction, leaving behind a disappointed fangirl. "He must be busy..." she said quietly to herself dejectedly as she continued on her original route of dropping off the chocolates at YGE's front desk.

As Seunghyun was finally able to shake off his rabid group of fangirls, he let out his breath in relief. Sinking into a park bench, Seunghyn groaned. His feet, legs and lungs hurt. Reaching behind himself, he quickly pulled his hood back over his head. No way was that happening again.

"Well, this is one crappy birthday so far," Seunghyun grumbled as he slowly evened out his harsh breathing.

"Hyung...?" someone called out as he heard approaching footsteps. For a second he tensed, wary of the person who called out for him. He looked up at the person and was relieved to see that it was only Jiyong.

"Oh, Jiyong-ah... It's only you..." Seunghyun breathed out, leaning back on the bench. He missed the way that the younger flinched. Only you. Only me, huh? Jiyong thought bitterly but bit back his disappointment as he instead questioned Seunghyun.

"Are you alright hyung? You look a bit... dead..." Jiyong warily inquiried. Seunghyun smiled softly and waved his hand around, replying "Don't worry about it."

"Why so down in the dumps, hyung? You should be having a great time! It is your birthday after all!"

"Nothing's wrong, Ji." Jiyong narrowed his eyes, giving him a skeptical look. "Hyung, I can tell when you're lying." Seunghyun avoided his gaze.

"I'm not lying. I'm just tired, that's all."

"Yah! Why won't you tell me what's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong, Ji." Jiyong narrows his eyes, giving him a skeptical look. "Hyung, I can tell when you're lying."

Seunghyun avoided his gaze, mumbling, "I'm not lying. I'm just tired, that's all."

"Yah! Why won't you tell me what's wrong?" Seunghyun sighed and muttered out softly, "Because of you..."

"What?" Jiyong asked. "I missed that, could you-..."

"I said it's you!" Jiyong blinked in surprised as he took a step back.

"W-what are you-..."

"It's nothing, don't worry about it." Seunghyun muttered, standing up from the bench. Jiyong lunged forward, grabbing onto Seunghyun's arm.

"Stop saying that! It's not NOTHING!"

"FINE!" Seunghuyn shouted, ripping his arm out of Jiyong's grip. "You want to know why? Do you REALLY want to know, Jiyong?"

Jiyong nodded in reply as he said, "Yes, hyung. I want to know."

"You... You're so caught up in your solo album that I never get to see you! And on the chance occasion I DO, you're either fussing over Seungri or doing something with Youngbae!" Jiyong blinked. "I get you for less than half an hour a WEEK if not less, because of your career and I respect that... But then somehow you've found time for everyone else!"
"Hyung, don't be silly. That's not true."
"Yes it is, Ji. Think about it. We hardly ever get to see each other, you're almost always either doing your solo work, taking up your responsibility as the leader of this group, or dong something or another with the damn maknae or with Youngbae. THINK about it, Ji."

Jiyong had to shut his mouth and actually THINK over the past months. All his promotions, all his performances. All his time spent with either the maknae or with Bae. And that's when it hit him. Seunghyun was right. He was neglecting his own boyfriend.

"Hyung, I'm really-..."
"HYUNG, HYUNG ARE YOU HERE?" Jiyong looked in the direction of Youngbae's voice.

Seunghyun sighed and looked sadly at Jiyong. "Bye, Ji. I'll see you at home..."

"Wait! Hyung…" Jiyong reached out to grab Seunghyun's wrist, but the taller man pulled away, following Youngbae away.

"Hey, hyung, I'm sorry about this morning," Youngbae said as he led Seunghyun into an awaiting taxi.

"It's fine," Seunghyun said quietly, shrugging it off. It didn't really matter anymore, he thought as he leaned his head against the cold window. What did matter, at this point? He had woken up to the arguing of the other four members to eat a partial bowl of cereal, only to be disturbed by a headache from all the yelling. He had then left to find some peace and quiet, only to run into Seungri and Daesung, who didn't recognize him, and a large group of fans, who obviously recognized him. Then he was sent running, to hide. All this on his on his birthday.

He felt Youngbae pull him out of the taxi and drag him back to the dorm. He pulled his hood up over his head again and silently went into his room. He dropped down on the bed, and let his body relax. At least there was a place where he could have some peace and quiet. Or so he thought.

"What?!" he heard Youngbae yell from the kitchen. Seunghyun groaned as he heard the front door slam open followed by multiple yells and footsteps.

"SEUNGRI, DAESUNG?!" Youngbae continued to yell. "GET IN HERE RIGHT NOW!"

"What?" Seungri bounced down the hall, a half eaten ice cream cone in his hand. When he got to the kitchen, the smile was wiped off his face.

"Do you want to explain what happened to this?!" Youngbae glared at the two youngest members and pointed at the table. The cake was still there, but not in one solid piece. The vanilla ice cream was in the process of melting, oozing out onto the table and dripping onto the tiled kitchen floor.

"Do you want to explain what happened to this?!" Youngbae glared at the two youngest members and pointed at the table. The cake was still there, but not in one solid piece. The vanilla ice cream was in the process of melting, oozing out onto the table and dripping onto the tiled kitchen floor.

"Oh..." Daesung's hand flew up to his mouth as he gaped at the mess in the kitchen.

"Hyung, I swear. We didn't mean to do this at all," Seungri said, backing up from the sticky blob in the center of the room. "You know we wouldn't try to ruin hyung's birthday,"

"Ruin? Oh no, of course not. You didn't ruin it. It's more like it was destroyed, wrecked, shattered, spoiled, de-"

"I get it, hyung. I get it," Seungri said and tossed the rest of his ice cream away. "I was going to go spend time with hyung at the mall, because I know he'd like that,"

"Spend time at the mall, Seungri? Really?" Daesung rolled his eyes and folded his arms. "Did you really think that was the best idea?"

"It's not like you have anything better," Seungri said, glaring back at him. "Since you obviously think you're brilliant, why don't you announce what you were going to do?"

"I'm not saying I'm brilliant or anything. I'm just trying to say.. I don't know. We go to the mall on weekends just to hang out. It's not that special," Daesung frowned.

"So you're saying that you really didn't have anything planned?" Seungri gave him an accusing stare.

"So what if I didn't have anything planned? At least I would have done something TOP hyung would have actually enjoyed," Daesung shouted.

"SHUT UP you guys!" Bae yelled out in an annoyed manner.

"LOOK at what you guys have done to this cake!" he pointed at the sticky, messy goo upon the kitchen table for emphasis. "What are you going to do about it?!"

"No, don't answer. In fact. As punishment, we are ALL going to be making hyung's birthday cake by hand. Home made, fresh. For god's sake, you guys can't even take care of cake." He shook his head in exasperation.

"Now march your butts into the kitchen while I go find our leader who seems to have vanished into thin air." He stuck his hand in his pocket to take out his cell phone, when he realized it wasn't there. Where did he leave it? Didn't he just have it earlier? he wondered as he headed towards the living room where he dug around in the couch, in hopes of mysteriously finding his phone. After a few minutes passed without finding it, he returned to the kitchen to use one of the other's phones. He saw that Seungri and Daesung were making slow progress on finding all the ingredients and materials needed for the cake making process. As long as the finish it by the end of the day, he thought and passed through the kitchen.

"Phone... phone.. phone..." he mumbled as he rummaged through the clutter on the counter. He finally placed his hand on Seungri's shiny cell phone, and quickly dialed Jiyong's number.
"Seungri, not now," the man answered on the first ring.

"It's me," Youngbae said.

"Oh,"

"Where are you? We're having major issues at home, and we actually need to do something for hyung's birthday before the special day is over," he said, tapping his fingers on the counter.

"Yeah.." Jiyong replied half-heartedly. "I'll.. think of something,"

"No. You get yourself home right now, before I have to go out and look for you. Seungri and Daesung managed to let the cake melt, and now they're making it from scratch. So you better get home right now," Youngbae said, glancing back into the kitchen, the source of the loud noises. "I gotta go. I think somethings going wrong,"

"But you don't-" Jiyong started to protest, but Youngbae had hung up.

As Jiyong was cut off he gave a slight scowl toward his phone as he mumbled out the last few words anyways. "understand... ugh. so much for trying to explain things."

"Might as well go buy some icing and toppings for TOP-hyung's cake. Or should I say TOP-sama?" Jiyong mumbled out with dry humor. They were in Japan anyway, so perhaps it'd be best to refer to each other in Japanese. Deciding to stop with his random train of thought, he trudged on his way to the nearest supermarket.

While Jiyong was out shopping for groceries, the other 4 members at home were busying themselves with either moping (a la Seunghyun) or attempting to bake the cake (a la everyone else.)

"We're sorry, hyung. We were trying to, honest to god we did. But.. somehow... we ended up.. with.. that..." Seungri mumbled out nervously pointing toward the kitchen covered in flour and other cake mixtures.

"You're just lucky these are dry mixtures and not liquid." Youngbae rubbed his temple tiredly. Only 2 hours since they all woke up, 1 hour since their hyung woke up and all this trouble had already occurred. Who knew so many things could go wrong in the span of one hour?

"You guys... just... What do you want me to do? Make it for you?" Youngbae scoffed, but regretted saying this when the younger two nodded headed for the living room.

He sighed as he grabbed his wallet and headed for the door. He hated having to use cake mix, because it was fake. And he didn't want to have to make something fake for Seunghyun's birthday. Especially after all this mess. He knocked on Seunghyun's door and poked his head in.

"Hyung?" he called out to the man burring his head underneath a pillow. "What are you doing?"

"Blocking out all the noise to find some peace and quiet in this world. Which I can't seem to find right now," Seunghyun grumbled and pulled the blankets up over his head. Youngbae sighed as he quietly left the room, making sure he didn't make a sound as he shut the door.

"You two. Keep it down," Youngbae glared at the younger two who seemed to be having fun drawing stick figures in the flour scattered on the floor. "And make sure you clean this all up by the time I get back," The two pouted and stuck their tongues out at Bae before quickly going back to work.

"I'm back," he heard a voice come from the doorway.

"Jiyong! Thank GOD, You're finally back." Youngbae said in appreciation.

"Whatcha got there in your hands?" Youngbae gestured toward the numerous grocery bags within Jiyong's hands. He shrugged. "Just... stuff. For the cake."

While Seungri, Daesung, and Youngbae emptied the contents of the bag out on the somewhat sticky table, Jiyong slipped off to his bedroom. He pushed open the door to find the tall man under the thick blankets, staring up at the ceiling with a blank look.

"Hyung..." he called out softly. Seunghyun turned his head towards him but returned to staring up at the ceiling again.

Jiyong opened his mouth to question further, but closed it again as he furrowed his eyebrows. He sighed. "Nevermind, hyung. I'll just leave you alone."

"It's fine Ji. You can stay if you want." Seunghyun mumbled out almost too soft for Jiyong to hear, but somehow he heard it. Seunghyun's body now faced the opposite wall. It brought the slightest of a smile on Jiyong's face because it at least meant Seunghyun wasn't TOO mad at him.

He silently made his way to his bed and flopped down on his stomach. He turned to face Seunghyun 's large back and opened his mouth to speak.

"Hyung?" he said, and he saw Seunghyun flinch a little. Jiyong bit his lip as he stopped himself from speaking at the sight of the flinch. He opted to instead stay silent because whatever came out of his mouth seemed to make the situation worse. So... what was he going to do now?

"Yah! Jiyong! Get out here! We need your help!" Bae yelled out from the kitchen. Well, that solved his problem. "Yeah, coming Bae!" Jiyong yelled back in reply. He took one last lingering glance toward Seunghyun and then got out of bed and exited the room toward the kitchen.

"Don't go..." Seunghyun mumbled out faintly right before the door clicked shut, a bit too late for Jiyong to hear.

Sighing, Seunghyun let his head drop to the pillow. He fixed dead eyes onto the wall in front of him. Why did nothing ever go as planned? Why did nothing ever go right for him?
Bringing his knees up to his chest, he wrapped his arms around them.
“Happy birthday… to me…” He whispered into the darkness, closing his eyes.
After what felt like an hour later, Seunghyun fell into a light slumber, mumbling incoherent things under his breath.

Jiyong stood at the doorway of the kitchen, his mouth hanging open. Daesung and Seungri were covered in flour and Youngbae had something trickling down his face from his hair that looked suspiciously like egg.
“WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED HERE?” Jiyong shouted, causing the others to turn to him. “YOU DO KNOW WE DON’T LIVE HERE, RIGHT?”

"Umm... we can explain!" Seungri attempted to cover up the mess quickly with some lame random excuse he was always good at making up on the spot.

"We... we uh... we were.........." Seungri continued with lots of stalling. Only to be cut off by Daesung's loud exclamation,

“IT’S ALL SEUNGRI’S FAULT!” Daesung pointed at Seungri. biting at his finger when it was pointed in his face.
"Ow! What the hell, maknae?!" Daesung whined.
"Grrrr...." Seungri growled out in an attempted feral manner, only failing to do so and
instead looked like a cute panda trying to look angry.
"Maknae." Jiyong warned before diverting his attention to Youngbae. "So what really happened?"
"Long story short, cake melted, new punishment is make TOP-hyung's birthday cake from scratch."
"Yeah, and if you'd taken care of the damn cake, this never would have-..." Daesung began.
Sensing another fight coming on, Jiyong stepped into the kitchen. “SHUT UP! DAESUNG, SEUNGRI; GO GET WASHED UP! YOUNGBAE, HELP ME MAKE THE CAKE!” The dongsaengs pouted before scrambling out of the kitchen to skip merrily toward the shower, fighting over who got to take a shower first.

"I call shower first!" Seungri shouted as he raced toward the bathroom with Daesung right beside him.
"Hell no! I call it first!" They both reached the bathroom door a second later, fighting and shoving each other for dominance.
"I'm youngest! So I call dibbs!" Seungri yelled at Daesung
"I'm older than you! Listen to your hyung!" Seungri pouted.
"Fine." he consented for Daesung to shower first which took him by surprise before he smiled and ruffled his hair as he proceeded to enter the bathroom and take a shower.

"And while you take a shower I can go cheer up hyung without you messing things up." Seungri finished after he heard the water begin to run, a smirk gracing his features as he misheviously sneaked near his hyung's bedroom. Slowly sneaking toward the door, he softly pushed the ajar door to see his hyung's back facing him.

"Hyung...?" Seungri called out softly as he cautiously entered the room. Seunghyun made a noncommital sound of acknowledgement but didn't make any other noise or move any other muscle in response.

"Hyung, what's wrong? Why are you cooping yourself up in your bedroom?" Seungri asked bluntly in that careless way of his. He just didn't know how to leave people alone did he?

"..." was Seunghyun's response as he continued to the questions. He had no obligation to answer. Seungri made his way over to the bed, sitting down beside his hyung as he stared at Seunghyun's back.

"You know you can tell me anything, right hyung?" Seungri attempted to provoke Seunghyun into helping. Of course, it didn't help any. He heard a deep sigh come from Seunghyun. "Would you just leave me alone?" Seunghyun whispered out in a scratchy voice. From what, Seungri didn't know. But it gave Seungri a dull regret as he recalled the earlier events of the day.

"Hyung, if you're mad at us, or me, because of what I, or we, did earlier today, then let me just say I'm sorry." Seungri attempted to appease Seunghyun.

Another sigh, but this time an exasperated and tired one. "Seungri, could you just please leave me alone? It's not because of that, so I forgive you okay?" was the first full response Seungri's recieved from him all day. At least he was talking to him, right? That means that Seunghyun couldn't be that angry at them, right? Seungri sure hoped so.

"O-oh. Y-yeah. Sure thing, hyung."
