Growing up . . . Ah the thrills, the excitement. A time to learn, and become independent, or . . . More independent depending on who you are. A time to mature . . . Sorta.
Well I say SCREW IT. As much as I like having a little more privacy and free will, I miss the good old days when there wasn't anything to worry about, and your parents took care of you. Well, in some cases maybe that wasn't true, in which, I understand if growing up sounds GREAT to you.
I'm looking at the big picture here, though. Not just little worry, but also NO FREAKIN' HORMONES. I mean, come on! Being little was all about friends and playing, now it's all about what to wear, who you hang with, what your label is, and most importantly who you're dating. Yes ladies and gentleman, DATING. Ugh. Crushing, liking, kissing, hugging . . . What's the point when you're this young? I mean, if it's true love, that's all fine and dandy, but . . . Do we really know what love is at this age? Can you explain to me what love is? Most likely not, because we haven't experienced it yet, and for those of you who have, you know what I'm talking about, and why I find dating at this age pointless unless you know for sure they're the one. Who wants a helping of heart break? Most tell me it's not enjoyable.
My suggestion is to wait until we've matured enough ( Hell, I know we're all still gonna be kids at heart. ) to see what actual love is, instead of going based off of looks and all that crap. Right now is a time to enjoy the remainder of our innocence, and I don't want to do it crying in my room because some jerk went and broke my heart. If that's the way you wanna spend your last years of childhood though, go right ahead. Feel free to tell me if it was worth it in the end.
