A lot of body image issues are the result of all the models we see. They're everywhere now, on tv, on billboards, on magazines, etc. Now what some people don't realize is that those models don't usually look the way you think.
They have professional hair and makeup artists. Sometimes their face and hair are changed so drastically that you would not even notice or recognize them if you passed them on the street. When they're on billboards and magazine covers, their pictures get touched up and airbrushed in addition to that.
So by the time we see the finished product, it's not even a real person as much as it is based on a real person. And there means there is no reason to compare yourself to them.
