There once was a god named Fox, who had large crimson colored feathery wings. One day, Fox met a Daemon. This Daemon was the most beautiful thing that Fox had ever seen. The two quickly fell madly in love. But, the Daemon did not think that she was good enough for Fox, so she ran away constantly. One day Fox had grown tired of the Daemon's games. So, when she next ran away he let her go. Fox was shattered, but he lived on, because he knew that he must. But, he was never the same. Then one day Fox once again crossed paths the Daemon. They were both once again instantly and completely enthralled with one another. But the Daemon had fallen in love with a human. And, eventually the Daemon left Fox for the human. Fox pretended that it had not completely broken his heart, and said that all he wanted was for the Daemon to be happy, even if it was not with him. Fox knew that the human would break her heart, but he could not interfere with free will. So, Fox was forced to let her make her own mistakes. And, when the human eventually turned his back on the Daemon, Fox was there to try and console her. The Daemon however, would no longer let Fox close to her, she was too afraid of being hurt again. Fox waited patiently for the Daemon 's heart to heal. One day, when Fox had gotten so very close to getting the Daemon to admit that she was still in love with him, the Daemon proclaimed that she was still in love with the human. Fox, in a fit of rage and despair, cursed the Daemon. From that moment forward, she would only ever be able to love him. For a time Fox was happy. But, soon he realized that because she had not chosen to be with him of her own free will, the love that the Daemon felt for him was hallow. Fox realized that in his fury he has destroyed the thing of which he loved most. From that moment onward, Fox was cursed, forever reminded of his crime. That is why today Fox refuses to let anyone get close to him. Maybe, one day someone who is pure of heart will come along and be able to break Fox's curse. Then he will once again be able to love another being without fear of stealing their soul.
