Like a fish with no sea
Like a caged bird waiting to be free
Like a sky with no sun
Like a lame horse wanting to run
A longing, a craving deep inside
Cannot run, cannot hide
Scared of my emotions
Tired of going through the motions
Lonely and waiting for love
Cannot find it below or above
Waiting to find inner peace
So the pain will finally cease
Trapped in dismal
Feeling like I'm going to fall
Praying for one more smile
To keep me whole for a little while
Lost in this oblivion
Playing a game I've never won
Waiting here til I am whole
All the torment has taken a toll
