I couldn't do much about the hair color or length, and all of my little trademarks are still there, but I think it's a pretty good imitation. I even found a way to give him/her a yellow eye! Yes, I'm proud of myself. That was the one tricky bit: conveying his new vampirism His yellow eye (Skittles contact) I've already mentioned, but I also added his claws (Freddy gloves) and unwilling thirst (Picolitrosso's Urn, the "glass of red wine" pose, although as usual with tektek, it didn't translate all that well). Otherwise, it was pretty straightforward. All black, bare the navel, slap on some claws, look angsty, and you're done!

Huzzahs are in order! My Gogh Reed finally finished evolving, bringing the long-awaited Zero Hair! I'd originally had another avi planned, but this one just sort of fell into place. I like the similarity in color and tone between the cloak and the hair, and how the steely gray/off-white both compliments and contrasts the straight white of the gown and sleeves. As usual, TekTek has buggered up the hand positions, so you'll have to imagine the Snow Bird and Archangel's Blade having switched hands, and the Snow Bird held in the crook of her arm, instead of straight down.

Closely related to the previous avi, this is (basically) what was on my wishlist, as opposed to what I threw together on the spur of the moment. On my actual wishlist, however, this avi also sported Silver Genie Bangle Bracelets and Elven Ears. The bangles couldn't really be seen on the finished avi, so I decided that they were superfluous, and the Elven Ears aren't really applicable anywhere else, so I decided that the 4,000 gold required to buy them might be put to better use elsewhere. The version you see here was also lacking the Fallen Wish (Star Ribbon), a.k.a. the sash or bandolier, which wasn't a huge change, but it does allieviate the harsher orange of the dress, and stop it from overwhelming the white and grey that comprises the majority of the rest of the avi.

A Supernatural cosplay, although not of any one character in particular. This is just how I think my avi would look if she was a hunter. Badass, heavily armed, a not-quite-sincere smile always quirking her lips. Inspired in part by the latest episode, "Point of No Return," in which the realization struck me that things have gotten so utterly bleak that any time any character displays any sort of affection or hope, I automatically assume that they are lying, possessed, or both. Be that as it may, I've got the Colt (the revolver), Cas' angel-slaying knife/shortsword/whatchamacallit (the kunai), a belt of stakes (handy for slaying vamps, Pagan gods, and Whores of Babylon), a brace of conventional guns (for the increasingly rare enemy who's not an angel, a demon, or a god), and Michael's sword (half bad pun, half practical weapon).

As I've said before, I don't know much about steampunk or cyberpunk, so when I end up with an avi that is a passable representation of one or the other, it makes me happy. Plenty of leather and brass, big chunky lines, add plenty of things with straps and/or attachments. In fact, I think the operative word I'd use for this is "strappy." I even managed to work in some cyberpunk with the Holographic Eyepiece! Go me! And yes, I know that she has a quiver, but no bow. Let's just pretend that she has a collapsable bow not viewable from the front. Yeah, let's go with that. XD

A cosplay of one Harry Dresden, who I know I've done before, but several reasonably-priced items have come out since my last shot at the character, giving me a chance to do a more complete, more intricate version. This is definitely a pre-Changes Harry, with his battered, awesome leather duster, (literally) kick-a** boots, trusty old revolver, blasting rod (sorry, I couldn't find anything good for his staff), cauldron o' making stuff, Turn Coat-induced facial scars, and the big black dog is as close as I could get to Mouse.

Me LIEK WOAH. I know I usually make rather strange, fanciful avis, but this time, it's just me, as near as I can get to my RL self with the contents of my inventory. Long black skirt, green t-shirt (although my favorite green t-shirt has a Celtic knot of ravens, not a star), white socks, black flats, necklace (although my pendant is moonstone, not jade), my new short hair, little black glasses, my trusty laptop (Lila), and books galore. I thought it might be nice to toss in a little dash of realistic nerd, along with all the warrior queens and faeries and mages that are my usual fare.

I swear I don't do as much steampunk as this list suggests, it's just that (as I've said) I'm relatively unfamiliar with the steampunk aestetic, so when I do something that looks semi-right, I get to feel all proud of myself. Unfortunately, her goggles seem to have been hidden by her bangs, but they're there anyway. I kinda wish I had a Techno-Mage MC to add to this, but I don't think it's half bad the way it is.

For the story behind this one, just imagine the Firefly episode "Shindig" written by Edgar Allen Poe. With maybe a hint of Faust. A duelist became so obsessed with her sport that she traded her eyes to become the greatest swordsman (or swordswoman, for that matter) in the world. If you ever really find yourself in a jam, and you needs somebody to stand in for you, or if you just need someone taken care of, call on her. Be warned, though, her price is high and her methods somewhat disturbing.
