It was a warm day in the port of Kilrosa, as a young boy ran away from a fish merchant. "Stop right now you dirty lil thief, you!" the thief ran into an alley only to bump into another child, who looked to be his same age. "Hey would you mind gettin outta my way?" the thief said in an impolite tone, as he tried to maneuver around the other child. "Did you steal that fish?" The boy asked "Yeah I did now get outta my way, the merchants right on my tale!" the thief said, still trying to get past the other boy. The young boy took one of the blades he was carrying on his back, and with out any thought sliced the thief's head clean off of his shoulders. The merchant came running into the alley . "I believe this belongs to you sir." the boy said as he handed the fish that was now covered in blood and dirt to the merchant. "Hey did you do this?" The merchant asked as he pointed at the headless body of the thief. "Yes. I did do that." the boy replied in a very calm voice. The merchant noticed the mask that the boy had placed upon his head. "Wait a minute, you're the famous mercenary Kanamaru Alman, aren't you?" the merchant asked as he pointed at the boy in awe. "Yes I am, now if you excuse me I will be taking my leave now." Kanamaru replied as he walked away. Several minutes later Kanamaru had walked into a building with a sign above the doorway that read "The Office" Kanamaru walked up to the counter inside the building. "Myst has been eradicated." He said while pulling the thief's head out of a bag. "Way to go Kanamaru another successful mission I see." said the man behind the counter, as he took a small pouch of gold and handed it to Kanamaru. "There is another mission for you, the man who placed the mission on the board asked for you specifically." the man behind the counter said as he pointed to the board. "Who was the man?" Kanamaru asked as he turned to the board that all missions were placed on. "I believe he said his name was Kildar Varscant." Just then a man had come walking in saying, "Is Kanamaru here yet?" the man said as he looked around the room. "I am." Kanamaru replied as he turned to face the man. "I am Kilda-" the man said as Kanamaru interrupted him. "I know who you are. What I don't know is what you want from me." Kanamaru said as he walked closer to Kildar. "I am captain of the Princess of Novaron's royal guard, and We are traveling to Lunaria to sign a peace treaty. The reason I am looking for you is because I heard word of how much of a ruthless killer you are, and I thought that you would be a great help." Kildar said as he saluted Kanamaru. "Fine I'll help you." Kanamaru replied as he walked towards the door. Before Kanamaru could place a hand on the door it came flying open hitting him and knocking him back. "Are we leaving soon Kildar?!" A young girl yelled in an irritated tone. Kanamaru now bleeding stood up and stared at the girl. "Hmm?" she said now looking at Kanamaru. "Oh no. I am so sorry. I didn't know that someone was on the other side of this door" She said as she walked up to him. She then folded her hands and a light shined around them. She placed her hands on Kanamaru's bleeding head, healing the wound.
