Would you believe that Richard actually showed up yesterday? At first, I was kind of annoyed. Considering the fact that he was 50 minutes late to our last visit with the kids and that I had to shell out an extra $30 to have my mother take me when he didn't show up, I was pissed. I really wanted to just ignore the fact that he even existed. But he shows up, of all things, to beg for money. He comes in whining about how he had to borrow $30 from his folks to get there that day. So I was like: "I guess you didn't come to wish me a happy day then."
And he says, "I know it's your birthday." in this aggravatingly defiant tone.
He kept whining about how he's got to pay his folks back the $30, and I was like: "Well, good luck with that." Then he starts threatening to quit giving me rides over there, so I was like: "Look, I only get paid $30 for each week, so I don't have the extra money to give you. If you want the money then you'd better be there on time." Anyway, technically the worker is supposed to pay our transportation costs, no matter what they are. So I called her and she said she'd put it in the next check. I went ahead and forwarded him the money just so he would go away, because I don't want to listen to his bullshit. It's worth $30 just to tell him to GTFO.
He's always either too early, or too late. He'll either come an hour in advance of the time we actually have to go (and demand that we leave immediately) or he'll simply fail to wake up in time to leave when our visits are early in the morning... or, he'll go to leave his house and then realize that the tire's not inflated. Although he finally got it patched the other day, it had a hole in it for a few weeks. He knew about it well before all of the visits, but he'd always wait until the last minute to inflate it, making us all late.
Either way, there's no excuse for his behavior. I really don't care if he makes me late or wants to treat me like I don't matter, but it's another thing to do this to his kids. What kind of an idiot is so ******** incompetent that he can't even be on time to visit his own children once a week?
Tch... b*****d. I'm really thinking about looking for a carpool.
