Mary and her mother were walking down main street on errands. They stopped when Mary tugged at her mother's sleeve.
"Mommy. I want that dollie!" Mary pointed at a stores window.
The store was a very plain and not very appealing puppeteer shop, with stuffed animals and ragdoll marioneetes. No one would really notice the store unless you had a wondering eye and saw the dolls. Mary was pointing at a doll with closed eyes, a pae face, blonde hair that was very long, and the doll was wearing laced clothing.
"But sweetie, you have lots of stuffed animals at home." Mary's mother knelt down to Mary, looking at her at eye level.
"But Mommy... those are stuffed animals! I want a dollie!"
"Okay," Mary's mother got up onto her feet once again. "We'll see if you are a good girl and I'll get you one for your birthday."
"Mommy!" Mary tugged annoyingly at her mothers sleeve again and pointed at the store's threshold which now had a banner. "But it says ENDING SALE."
"Okay, fine, Mary." Mary's mother gave in and scooted her towards the store. "But lets hurry, we still have a few more errands to run."
"Yippie!" Mary bounced and walked into the store.
"But that is very peculier... That banner wasn't there a minute ago." Mary's mother stood outside of the store, no one was around anymore and it was very silent, for the afternoon. She looked around, most of the stores on main street were shut down, but that is because main street was pretty old and not a lot of people come walking down main street anymore.
A strange chime echoed in her ears and she walked in the store, still having a curious feeling.
