Bronze Ambitions 1-?
Blanche hopped off of the doll couch and clanked her way to the old lady's office. "Today was very dead, so maybe Madame will remember the man who came in here."

"Madame Weiss?" Blanche poked her head into the doorway. She slide herself inside and sat on the love seat pushed against the right side of the room. "Madame, can I ask you a question?"

"Of course, mausi." Madame Weiss turned around in her chair and smiled sweetly at Blanche. "And I have something to tell you, too. So ask away!"

"Okay, well, I was wondering who that young man was, the one that was in here around noon." Blanche stared at the old lady's eyes and yearned for the warmth they gave. She wanted to have eyes that gave warmth, and she wanted to be warm.

"Ah, that young man. He is Herr Klavier." Madame Weiss chuckled. "He used to be a regular when he was a young lad. Ah, and that was also when my store was in the fatherland of Germany."

"Why did he... look at me today?" Blanche asked. "He... looked as if he knew what I was; it was strange."

"That is what I want to tell you!" Madame Weiss smiled brightly. She got up from her chair and walked over to Blanche. "He has purchased you, and you are going to a new home!"

Blanche felt something inside of her that filled her with... something; it was overwhelming and it felt good, yet very strange. Madame Weiss picked her up from the love seat and cradled her. "Oh, I will miss you, mein mausi... You were the only one this old woman had to talk to. I wish my son would come by more often."

"Your son? Oh, Christopher! I have not seen him in so long; I wish I could see him before I leave--by the way, when am I leaving?" Blanche asked.

"He is going to pick you up tomorrow evening, during closing hours. Herr Klavier is a very punctual man, so he will be no minute later!" Madame Weiss sighed contently. "Oh, I thought no one would ever buy you, since you always kept that monotonous glare whenever people were in the store. This is going to be harder for me than I thought..."

"What do you mean, 'monotonous'?" Blanche tilted her head. The porcelain brushed against porcelain and made a rasped scratch noise.

"Nothing to be taken as an insult, mausi." She pet Blanche's head and set her back on the seat. "You never seem to have a beauty aura, which other dolls in my store seem to appear as. Take Number Trente-cinq, she has the jovial bride aura because of her expression."

Madame pulled out a large doll from her shelf and hugged it. It had a beautifully crafted dress, fit for a wedding. Frills and lace were hanging off of it and it framed the doll's figure wonderfully. Blanche looked away from it.

"There it is again... that jealous reaction of mine..." She thought, messing with the hem of her skirt.

Blanche looked down at her own attire: her socks were cream coloured and her shoes had bulged toes; her skirt was a brown and tan plaid with lace at the hem. Her shirt looked like an apron, and it was also brown. Basically, Blanche felt boring compared to that beautiful Wedding Doll...

Madame Weiss noticed her slight movement and sighed. "Don't you worry, mein mausi. You're more beautiful than any of the dolls in Paris."

Blanche smiled in her head and sighed. "I love you, Madame..."

"And I love you too. Now, let's get your things and get you ready for tomorrow, yes?"
