Dancing around getting ready for tonight.
The place is hopping.
Girls and guys coming and going.
People undressing in my room and in the halls.
Guys dealing, girls hanging all over people.
My stuff is tucked away, hidden from them all.
Today I don't want to be like them.
I want to be...me.
I'm gonna go tonight, go with the girls.
Arm in arm, smiling the best I can.
I'll fool them all, even myself.
I'm forcing myself to be happy.
It's the only medicine I have.
Laughter, smiles, and dancing.
I'm getting that all tonight.
And who knows, maybe that Dj will be there.
