My grandmother passed away on New Years Eve at about 11:00 p.m. She'd had a heart attack the day after Christmas that was severe enough to cause internal damage. Her body just could not withstand much more and she had yet another heart attack on New Years Eve which took her. She was 78 years old and lived a very wonderful fulfilling life. I was right by her bed when she died, I think it was the hardest thing I've ever had to go through. When my mother died, I was just a little kid and I did not understand it that much. Watching someone suffer is a lot harder to deal with.
As of this moment, I'm at my grandmother's house. I've been living with my uncle for the past week as we dealt with things concerning her death. I've made the choice to go ahead and move to Indianapolis. I will be starting college at the University of Indianapolis next school semester in August. I am going to be staying here at the house over the weekend. I will be able to get online when I have the time. All day today we spent cleaning this house and packing up boxes. Various members of the family will be coming by all weekend to pick up some things they'd wanted from the house. On Monday, the internet, phone, television, electric and water will all be cut off and the house will be put on the market. My uncle and I have a contract that I'll be getting 35% of the profit from the house selling. That should really help out with school. Heh.
