Ticking clocks
missing socks
pointless . . . . . pointless running minutes
when did we begin to race
up does down
spinning round
every mask in place
we’re all dressed to the nines
play your best
to fool the rest
but don’t forget your lines
the compositions key
do it right
don’t you dare fight
we’ve all made this misery
there is no one to blame
shout it loud
you’ve become the crowd
every eye is on the game
don’t get nervous now
the die is cast
you’ll come in last

what second will you choose
make your choice
use your voice
it’s time for win or lose
will you just pick a side
the curse is laid
